Hello and a happy new week to everyone in this great community.

Am happy to share how summer is like in this southern part of the country. And I urge you to sit back and enjoy as you read through it.

By that, I mean Akwa-Abasi Ibom state in Nigeria, West Africa.

The first summer is a time for celebration and a lot of traveling do take place.

But that is not the case I want to look into the aspect of whether.

For the past years in the summer season, we always experienced a harmattan and dry season.

But this year it is different every day it keeps on raining and no sign of harmattan yet.

Also in the summer, we have some good fruit sprouting out in the case of Mango, pear depending on the species, and others to mention but a few.

Harvesting also takes place this season like; yam is harvested, cassava, cocoyam, and plantain.

For farmers, after the harvest action, this is also the best time to prepare the land for the next planting season and that will come in the early March or late February depending on when the rainy season begins.

But as for the Yams and cocoyams, they can be planted this summer or early January also depending on the species involved.

Now, when it comes to the schooling aspects, school closes for the year and students return home to rest and get prepared for the next semester.

And children will also love to attend holiday lessons as well

As well as join in the celebration period. By that I mean Christmas 🎄

On the last day which is the 31st night many people go to church and conduct services called Cross Over Night

It is always amazing and fun and we all join our voices in unity to commit the new year into God's mighty hands and ask him for his divine help and direction all through the new year.

In conclusion business boom a lot in this summer, like those who are into Poultry, parks or sit-outs.

Businessmen and women who deal in Christmas clothing and foodstuff in the likes of carrots, green beans, salad cream, and other foodstuff are especially used in making fried rice and salad.

So I guess this is how the summer is like in my area. And thanks for reading through and am looking forward to your support as well.
