The Notorious Thieves.

There were these notorious thieves in a community called "Nakowa" means for everybody community. The two notorious thieves were a man and his wife.

They entered into a covenant to defend one another in any circumstances. They were always armed whenever they went out to thief and defend themselves against the person they met to take his property.

There was a very rich farmer in the community called "Bani in Baka” means he can only help you when you work for him.

This man and his wife did go to harvest Mr. Bani in Baka and the farm was disturbed and when to the farm to guard his yam to see the person harvesting his yam.

He was to travel and nobody to guard his farm and decided to buy a big trap with having hock, made a statue in human form and hung a bell there so that whenever wind blew the bell would ring and set traps in different locations in the farm.

As usual,the man and his wife came and harvested some tubers of yam, and as they were leaving the farm and accidentally wind blew and the bell rang and as they turned to see who rag the bell, they saw a lion.

They began to run and unfortunately, the woman fell into one of the traps and started shouting for help and the man was afraid to come and assist the wife for fear of lion

The woman began to shout, daily! daily!! daily!! don't you remember our covenant?
The man said which covenant? He said, leave me joo. As he was going the woman shouted again and he came to rescue her.

He made a very good effort to rescue her. Before then he came quietly and observed the statue of the lion to see whether it was a live lion, but when he discovered it was not, he first of all destroyed that statue.

He made a tireless effort and rescued the woman from the trap. And unfortunately, as her had come from the trap the trap hocked the man in his private parts because as he pressed the trap with all his energy his weight went into the trap.

The woman said thanked him and became the next victim looking for help. But the woman cannot assist him but rather laughs at him and says you loved a woman better than yourself, so be there I am going.

He too said, have you forgotten our covenant, pls come and help rescue me, she came close and told him I cannot be a victim again.

Said so, she was going, but the man begged to go home with one message, she came and said, look at my eyes are they red already? The woman said, not yet until the owner of the farm comes you will know when they are red or not.

And she then left leaving the man struggling to rescue himself. The farm owner came and met him and appealed to him not to do him any harm, but the man rather weighed him the more and beat him very well and went and told the villagers what had happened.

They came and only rescued him and tied rob round his waist with the tubers of yam on his head and taking around the community singing and dancing saying, what did I do, I stole Mr. Bani in Baka' tubers of yam.
