A group of people's shared attitudes, practices, and values can also be referred to as their culture. It is spread by social learning and is always changing.

Also, a particular community, such as a nation, religion, or socioeconomic class, is defined by its collective attitudes, beliefs, aspirations, and practices, or culture. It encompasses things like music, art, social customs, and language.

List and explain 5 components of culture

1. Customs: Customs are age-old traditions that are passed down through families and communities. Holidays, religious rituals, or even meal preparation are examples of these traditions.

2. Norms: Generally accepted within a culture, norms are unwritten standards of conduct. These can include things like greeting one another and dressing appropriately for particular occasions.

3. Symbols: Symbols are things or pictures that stand in for a culture's principles, outlook, and practices. Symbols can be anything, including flags and religious images.

4.Language: Is a system of spoken and written symbols that enables inter-personal communication. Its able to convey values, ideas, and practices to others makes it an essential part of culture.

5.Values: They are the opinions that a group of people deem to be crucial. Values might be held by many individuals in a culture or by only a select few. Values influence how members of a culture interact with one another and their environment.

Describe the characteristics of culture

1.Symbols: are a crucial component of culture, such as items, phrases, or images that are used to convey ideas or concepts. Due to their ability to facilitate understanding and communication.

2.Language: is also part of characteristics where a group of people can express themselves through language, which serves as a kind of communication. As a means of exchanging ideas, tales, and emotions.

3.Food: Foods are a crucial component of many cultures, where each culture have their way of preparing their foods.

What is the difference between material culture and Non-material culture

Human-made physical creations such as tools, machines, clothing, and structures are referred to as material culture. The culture that produced these artifacts left them as reflections of its ideals and convictions.

On the other side, non-material culture describes the intangible facets of culture like values, beliefs, language, and knowledge. A society's interactions with the outside world are shaped by its shared set of beliefs, values, and behaviors that are passed down from one generation to the next.

Conclusion

Our identity and way of life are fundamentally shaped by our culture. It molds our conception of the world and has an impact on our values, beliefs, and behaviors. It is a complex system of ingrained values and customs that is always changing and adjusting to the environment. We can learn to respect and value one other's differences and improve our understanding of the world by knowing and enjoying various cultures.
