A child entered into the kitchen after following the leading from the aroma of cookies he perceived right from the sitting room. He reached out to take one from the plate. "May I have one please?" The child asks with eyes wide and an eager smile. The mom nods with a smile and hands the child a cookie, and watched with delight as the child's eyes light up with joy.

It seemed something was missing. "Where's your THANK YOU* ? The mother asked. He looked confused and the mom said, "When someone does something for you, it's polite to say 'thank you '.. "Do you understand?" The boy nodded and the mother smiled.

What is it, in this simple word "Thank you" that does the magic of showing gratitude and appreciation? Join me as I discuss about this concept Thank You

What is thank you and on what occasion can one day it (5 different occasions)

During my childhood days in primary school, I could remember the 5 magic words we usually sing on the assembly ground.

"There are five magic words that I know; please, excuse me, sorry, thank you and the last one pardon me"....

These were the words we knew and still know as the magic words and Accurately, thank you is among the list.

Thank you is a phrase that is more than just two words. It is a phrase that is use for the expression of gratitude, respect and appreciation.. It can be said in different settings, but here are five common occasions:

  • When someone has done something kind or thoughtful for you, you have to say thank you.
  • When a person has helped with a task or emotionally, you need to say thank you.
  • When someone has given you a gift be it intangible or material, you need to say thank you.
  • When someone has rendered a service or assistance to you, you need to also say thank you.
  • And finally, when you've had a positive encounter and good experience with someone, saying thank you is right.

How important is thank you and who should say it?

Saying "Thank you" is important because it is a way to show how grateful and appreciative you are to a person when he or she performs an action for you on any occasion. Thank you is a magic word that has a deep impact on both parties whether a friend, family member, coworker, stranger or elder.

Saying "thank you" doesn't have an age, gender or background restriction to the usage of this word. Everyone is expected to say thank you on every necessary occasion. Even young children can learn to say "thank you" for It is a valuable norm to teach. After all, it is never too early or young to start practicing appreciation and gratitude..

Tell a real life story where saying thank you has helped you or someone else in a positive way

Well once, I was at a shopping mall, together with my friends and a lady who was pregnant wanted to pick an item on the item stand very high. Her hand wasn't able to get the desired item, I saw this and I offered to help her. She was so grateful that she said "thank you" at least five times for helping her. She even offered to pay for what I shopped.

I was glad I help her, I appreciated her by saying "thank you". It felt nice to be appreciated for a little act of kindness. Although no help is little...

That's just one of the many time saying thank you has helped me..

Your advice on saying thank you

Here's my simple advice on saying thank you.
First, It is very important to be sincere. You should say thank you when you truthfully mean it.
Secondly, make sure you try to be specific on what and why you're saying thank you for. This means that your are attentive to what was done for you.
Third, attach a different means of showing gratitude. Not just with words, accompany the word "thank you" with a smile and a gesture....

And lastly don't forget to say thank you 😁.. Gratitude should be part of your life....

Conclusion

In conclusion, "thank you" is a powerful, magical and important phrase that has a big impact on the person receiving and the person saying it. It is important to express appreciation and it can make the both parties feel good. Saying thank you to anybody, means you respect, appreciate and care for that person.

So kids and parents, don't forget to say "thank you" always in the right occasion. It is good for your well being...

Que importante es el inculcar en los infantes el uso de la palabra Gracias. ;as que por un regla social de educación, debe ir mostrada como la forma mas sencilla y poderosa de mostrar agradecimiento.

El relato con el que comienzas tu escrito es un ejemplo muy grato de como al niño hay que guiarlo en el uso normal de esta forma de agradecimiento.

Un gracias puede lograr alegrar la vida, no solo de quien lo recibe, sino también de quien la da.
