Food challenge contest week #107 || for kids and parents || a delicious yam porridge

Greeting to everyone in this community and happy Easter and happy new month. I am @emmaboy23 from Nigeria and I am a very hard working Nigerian steemians. Before I start I will to use this opportunity to thank this community and its moderator/admin for their support and always bringing interesting contest to participate in. Without wasting more time I am here once again to partake in this contest organised by @steemkidss titled: food challenge contest week #107.


Food is a very essential as we human beings we must eat and have energy to do certain things. It is very necessary to eat at least three times daily so as to have the right and correct nutrients to grow. For my article today there is a special delicacy I would like to describe to everyone on how they cook it. The name of the food is yam porridge stay tuned as I start the process of cooking it.

Ingredients

Ingredients are what we normally use to cook a meal, snacks etc. There are different kinds of ingredients use for different types of meal. For the food I will be preparing I will be listing the ingredients used in preparation of it.


1 yam
2 onion
3 pepper
4 Maggi
5 Salt
6Vegetable
7cray fish and
8 Plam oil

Now here are the steps in preparing the yam porridge.


The first step is to pill your yam and slice it into cubes or to your desired shape.


Then wash it and add a little water into the pot


You then turn on your gas and allow the yam to boil with the Water inside for some minutes.


After that you add your pepper first

After adding your pepper you also add your crayfish

Then lastly add your maggi to taste

After putting all the spices, pour in your palm oil to give it a little colour and small taste aslo

Cover your pot and allow to boil very well so as to allow the ingredients to have taste in the yam.


After that you cut your Vegetable into pieces.

After cutting the vegetable pour it into the boiling yam and cover and bring down immediately

Allow to cool for a little while then you can now serve it or it can be eaten.

As you can see this meal has all the nutritional requirements needed for one growth because it contain Vegetable, onion and others which gives you enough vitamins in the body.


This food i mainly eat it in the morning and at afternoon and i don't eat it at night. This because I am not used to eating another type of food apart from garri and soup. Anyone can cook yam porridge provided he/she knows the steps to do so, as it does not have any specific age group for cooking it.
