Thediarygame for 01/01/2024: FIRST DAY OF 2024

It's the first day of the year 2024 and it is a great day. Today I start a journey of 365 days. I am hopeful to make the best use of this year for my self development, goal actualization etc

MORNING

I woke up after a little sleep due to the fact that I attended new year service last night. I wanted to first of all dedicate the new year to God before doing anything.There was a lot of work to be done as food needed to be ready to serve guest that will come to wish us a happy New Year. Thankfully my sisters were around so I was not going to be needed mucb. I dressed to church in my best dress and we started praying, singing and hearing the word of God.

AFTERNOON

After service we had a lot of fun dancing to music in the church but when I checked the type it was already 1pm so I left the church to go home. On getting home I saw that a lot had been done already such as killing the goat, preparing the zobo drink, cooking rice etc.
I quickly went to dish some for myself and ate to my fill. The zobo was very chilled and sweet as natural fruit was used in place of sweeteners.

After eating I decides to rest but I first of all washed some of my cloths so that I won't lack what to wear since I am not at home but in my village. There was not soap and I went to the opposite street to our own street to buy soap.

EVENING

I woke up in the evening and everywhere was filled with guest, my cousins, friends of my dad and uncles I had not seen in a long time. I had to go around and greet each of them, they were just conplimenting me about how beautiful I am and how I have grown into a lady. I thanked them for the compliments and went outside for a stroll with my friend.
Along the road I saw this beautiful flower and took it because it was beautiful.

As it was getting dark we decided to get back and I went to take in my cloths and arrange them in the box.
