**SEC17 WK:#4: the effects of economic hardships on families **
Hello guys, I am so happy to participate in this beautiful contest.
It is never a lie that 99.9 families in Nigeria are going through difficulties because of the economic hardships in the country.
In this generation, it is hard for a family to live a comfortable life, financially and it is difficult for a family to feed well, especially to eat three Square meat in a day.
For the sake of this topic I would like to give example with my own family how we live a comfortable life before and how the hardship of our country has affect my family negatively today.
Before, my family lives so comfortably, my parents normally pays our school fees without stress, we eat good 3 square meal in a day, we wear good clothes and this is because the economic situation was not as but as it is today
Today the price of one measure of rice can buy nine to ten measures of Rice before, also the price of one measure of maize today can buy ten measures of maize before.
In fact, the price of every goods in the market have risen, our parents cannot longer afford a lot of things to the family this days.
transportation is something else in Nigeria, it is the gensis of every problem we have today in Nigeria that is why even civil servants are not mostly active in their places of work because of the high cost of transportation, a journey that 200 naira can take you before, today the journey of 200 Naira before is a journey of 2,000 Naira today so the difference is very clear there's no way a family cannot be affected by this economy hardship that is going on in the country.
Another thing is that our family don't longer live in peace with each other, that is because of the stress that parents are going through, they speak so rude to their children because they are afraid to do their responsibility as parents and the truth is that is because they are feeling so bad that they cannot do their responsibility as parents due to the difficulties they go through as a result of the effect of economic hardships in the country
The worst of it all is that, in this our generation, education is the best gift that every parents can g give to their children both parents who are educated and those who are not educated all knows that education is the key To Success and is the best gift they can offer to their children and for them to sit and watch that they cannot give the best gift to their children is a very painful situation that is why our parents most times talks to us so rudely not because they don't love us but because they are feeling so sorry for us deep inside their heart and they also wish that they can give us the best
Lastlt, the solution of the hardship that our families are going through today is in the hands of our government. Our government should please stop being selfish, they should learn to do the right thing for the betterment of the country, also to give a scissor what is for the scissor. By this alone, the problems we are going through in our country shall be rectify.

Hello friend, having read from your post I have also come to term with you that education is the key. But the butter truth is that some families do not care atall. If the hardships persist or not there are not bother you know why? Because they're also benefiting from it and from the government.
Has families, it is left for us to work up together, since the government use failed it's citezens.

At present, the condition of the whole world is very bad, people are passing through different economic conditions in their life. It can be seen that many effects on the family. Some cannot pay their children's school fees well. In some cases, it can be seen that their family cannot store food and other things well. My dear I will start by disagreeing with you on that statement that 99% of families are going through difficult times because we have the families of corrupt Nigerians and business owners plus government officials who are not suffering.
Also I hope with the recent news that fg has increased the wage of civil servants, things will be better.
The prices of everything are increasing day by day and people are becoming victims of unemployment. There are many people who are living in poverty who do not have enough resources to live a good life. So that they can have their food and drink and after Corona, the prices are increasing, like the oil prices have increased, the food and drink have increased. It is bad to hear that you have seen such a beautiful days in your like and where your parents were doing all duties but due to worst economic system of Nigeria and low income You have to live in worst condition.
Hmmm, it is terrible as there is solution in view. This is the agony before us as the government has continued to chase rats while their house is on fire.
The economic hardship in our dear country has thrown most families into untold hardship and misery. I hope this trend is alittle reversed for the poor to breathe.

I should say that the rate in which this economic meltdown is going is something that should be checked on.
How can an employee spend 70% of his or her income on Transportation. At this point, what will that individual have to survive? I hope this issue should be looked into thoroughly. Good luck on your entry.
