Happy new year everyone, I am very glad to make a post in this community again after going through a lesson on Transportation taken by @udylicious. Transportation is just as old as human existence because it revolves around human life. Below is my homework on the meaning of transportation and its forms.

Transportation can be defined as the movement of humans, goods and services from one point to another through any means of transportation. Here people, goods and services can be moved through traditional and modern means of transportation. Apart from humans and goods being Transported signals can also be conveyed from one point to another through any channel.

There are two basic forms of transportation which are:

✨ Traditional form of transportation
✨Modern form of transportation

❤️‍🔥Traditional Form Of Transportation
Before the intervention of modernized machines and ideas, the traditional form of transportation was the best form of conveying humans, goods and services from one point to another. Some of the traditional form of transportation are: walking, bicycle, Human portage and beast of burden, which I will love to explain them.

✨Walking: During the ancient times most people moved from one geographical area to another by foot covering long distances to get goods to the point of need.

✨Bicycle: Before the intervention of trucks, van and buses, bicycle were made with the use of wooden materials to move items, people and goods from one place to another, though it was slow in movement but was more better than using foot.

✨Human portage: mostly in the primitive areas, heavy goods were transported on humans head covering long distances, people that owned camels and bicycle were referred to as the rich ones so generally the human head was the best alternative for the less privileged.

✨Beast Of Burden: camels, horses and other four legs animals were considered as a mean of conveying and transporting humans, goods and services from one point to another.

❤️‍🔥Modern Form Of Transportation
Humans came up with ideas as a result of the cons of traditional means of transportation. Machines were invented to transport and convey humans and goods from one point to another.

✨Land Transportation
✨Water Transportation
✨Air Transportation

❤️‍🔥Land Transportation: land transportation involves the movement of humans, goods and services through land areas, such as the road, Railway and pipeline.

✨Road Transportation: Road transportation which involves the use of road as a means of transporting goods and human from geographical point to another through the use of cars, vans, buses, bicycles and so on...it's one of the safest means of transportation.

✨Railway Transportation: Here a machine called train is programmed to ply through a parallel and crossed parallel metal made on the ground surface..it requires a lengthy distance of land and still remain the safest means of transportation

✨Pipeline Transportation: oil and gas are passed down or moved from it original source to many locations through the use of pipelines.

Water Transportation is the conveying of humans and goods from one point to the another through water ways. Where it can be inland or ocean water ways. The inland water ways involving rivers, canals which requires means like boat to move people from one shore to another. While the ocean water ways is a wide area covered with water which will need ships to move people and goods.

Air transportation is the movement of people and goods through air by aeroplane, helicopters and hot balloons as means. Air transportation which is regarded as the safest and fastest means of transporting people and goods through far distance. Aeroplanes, helicopters and hot balloons are invented to make this possible.
