Season greetings everyone, I am much grateful to participate here in this community after along one without making a post here. This particular contest topic is really captivating so I decided to search more and join the contest.
Before now I had so many questions I do ask myself and people because how special they act and live during this season. I was born to see people celebrate Christmas like the organiser said spending and sharing of gifts to loved ones. my question was and still is, is it only during this season that people spend or share gifts with thier loved ones. So many people don't give out to thier loved ones until it's during the festive period which is wrong, this season really needs an explanation to source how it came about and why people sees this period as the best month of enjoying and sharing gifts.

What does Christmas means for you

Christmas to me is a season Christians share gifts amongst loved ones and also celebrate the birth of our lord Jesus Christ. Christmas is a special season and period set aside by the Christians to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ by sharing out gifts to friends and family. Christmas comes with winter showing a great sign of a new season and period to show much love to people.
Colours like red, green and white are the main 3 colours we use to celebrate the season.

Trace the origin of Christmas, stating at least 3 facts to counter or support the celebration

Christmas from research originated from the pagans which was celebrated in Rome during december by giving out gifts, merry making and showing of love. The date was set aside by the early Christian church in celebration of the pagans on the 25th of December. The gifts giving during that period started by a saint who dedicated that period to give out gifts to children.
Also the festive period on the 21st comes winter which mark new beginning, meaning a rebirth. So the early Christians saw it as a rebirth for Christ date and it was fixed on that very day. Santa in our new generation followed the path of the Saint in giving out of gifts to children.

Was jesus born on the 25th of December?

Jesus wasn't born on the 25th of December from my research but it was a day set aside to celebrate the birth of Christ because of the basic qualities that took place during the month which are gifts giving, merry making, winter and the conviction of the pagans into Christians. The month was set aside because of those basic happenings that took place within that month.

Why do you choose to or choose not to celebrate Christmas

Christmas season is a period of gift giving and merry making by the Christians. It doesn't mean we shouldn't give out gifts to our loved ones during other months but it's mainly known that during this season love reaches everyone from all the angles.
Christmas season is one of the best season I was born to love and know, I choose to celebrate it because of how special I feel during this period about love and happiness.

Thanks for going through my post 😍❤️

You indeed came with a nice entry, Christmas as you said is a season where people share gifts to friends and family, also celebrate the birth of Jesus, but the fact that Jesus never advised anyone to celebrate his birthday is more reasonable enough to know that Jesus itself doesn't happy with people who celebrate Christmas.

I wish you good luck.
