Family As The Basic Unity Of Society

Well we all meant have come across this question in different occasions and it is obvious that we all know the definition or what family is all about.
But In a nutshell I will definitely say that Family is a group of people related by blood or by marriage.
Definitely everybody originated from a family, and members of family are related by blood. Therefore the see themselves as belonging to one entity. The members have respect for for each other and would be ready to assist themselves whenever the need arises.
The Nuclear Family is a family that is made up of the Father, Mother, and their Children. It is called the immediate family or biological family. The brothers and sisters in a nuclear family call themselves siblings. Members of the a nuclear family live together and bear a common family name. In this case, the also protect the interest of each other at all times.
THE EXTENDED FAMILY
Another type of family is the extended family.
The members of the extended family is the Father, Mother, children Grandfather, Grandmother, Uncle, Aunties, Cousins, Nephew, Nieces. The extended family is large than the nuclear family.
- GRANDFATHER: He is the father of your mother or father
- FATHER: He is your biological father, who takes care of the financial aspect, and also he is the head of the family.
- MOTHER: She is the biological mother, who takes care of the children and all the home choices. A mother is the one who gives birth to a child.
- UNCLE: The uncle is your father's brother or your mother's brother.
- AUNTIE: He is your father's sister or my mother's sister.
- NIECE: A niece he is your father's sister or my mother's sister.
- COUSIN: A cousin is the child of your auntie or uncle.
Every member of the family alti have respect for others.
- FATHER/MOTHER
The father is the head of the family. He should be respected by every member of the family. Every instruction given by the father should be obeyed because the father should show good example to his family.
The Mother in the family should respected because she is the next to the father and she is always their to teach the children the right thing to do.
- PARENTS/CHILDREN
The children should respect and assist their parents at home, their parents should also show some respect to things affecting their children so that there will be peace and happiness in the family.
- SIBLINGS/SIBLINGS
Brother's and sister's in the family should respect each other's interest to avoid quarrels among them. The junior ones should also respect their seniors.
- CHILDREN/UNCLE
Children should greet and obey their parents brothers and other relatives because they belong to the same lineage.
- **PARENTS/IN-LAWS
Parents should protect and respect the interest of those families from where they marry.
Such respect will help to bring them close to each other.
i. Assisting the direct parents in the child's upbringing:
Members of an extended family see themselves as you one. The help to enforce discipline on the child. The support each other especially in the child upbringing by providing money for the training of the child. They also contribute in making decisions for the good of the child.
ii. GIVING THE CHILD A SOCIAL IDENTITY:
The extended family help the child to trace his origin or identity to the family. It also nurtures the child to behave in the acceptable values of the family so that he will be proud to belong to such a family. It reach the young ones how to behave in the society. That is why some people are proud of their family names.
iii. THE HELP IN KEEPING FAMILY HISTORY:
The extended family to keep memorable fact about the family which it transmits from generation to generations.
Some families are known are known for one skill or the other. The extended family help to keep such skill and endowment for the family.
