Week15 Drawing Challenge: Pig

Hello guys trust we all are faring well. In relation to the week 15 drawing Challenge of a pig. In order to tell you all about a pig, and it's importance to man, I chose to give it out as a little story I wrote. Hope you enjoy👌

Dad told Mom;
Dad: Sweetheart I was thinking of doing a pigpen won't it be great?
Mom: Ooh yes darling that's a great idea. Pigs are a lovely set of animals.

So I asked mommy what a pig was and she said it's a fleshy and porky animal that loves to play in mud. She told me to meet Carin my elder sister and ask all I want to know about pigs should in case I needed to know more. As a 5yr old girl, I was curious. So I went to Carine and asked her;

Me: Sister can I ask you a question?
Carine: Yes sure, anything for you kiddo.
Me: What qualities do pigs have?
Carine: Okay, pigs are highly intelligent and social animals which are friendly and are great communicators as they have the ability to create over 20 different sounds for different reactions. Just like they make a sound for crying which is different from that which is made when happy or hungry, since they can't speak you know. However, just like dogs and cats, they too are blessed with a great memory and can easily learn things like how to sit, sleep and stand.

I thanked her for this and asked her how important they were to man. But we got interrupted by mom who said we had to rush to the hospital to see Uncle Ted who had been admitted for some heart problems. His heart is failing, he needs a heart transplant as soon as possible or he'll die in two days time, Dr. Vicky told mom. In shock and trembling, mom couldn't think of anything good rather than crying.

While we joined her in lamenting, Dr. Ebad, a colleague to Dr. Vicky advised her to try the heart of a pig. She brought the good news to mom and said, a pigs heart is very similar to that of a human and can work accordingly alongside other internal organs like the lungs. So we took the chance and uncle Ted's's life was saved. This shows how important pigs can be to man. Besides the fact that it's meat provides food, it's used for leather, glue, fertilizer, cosmetics and even medicine.

So below will be seen the steps I used I drawing my pig.

Lastly, I have seen a pig in real life more than a thousand times because in our village, almost every family had a pigpen, so it was impossible not to see any.
