I greet you all my fellow kid lovers hope we are good and cooping with the challenges of life, I and my kids are in good health .
Raising good and responsible adult starts from childhood without discipline it will not be easy to be responsible.infact discipline is very important while raising up children.
Am a mother of two , and I discipline my kids even though they are still minor,but before I got married I have more than four kids that was left in my care.
I was also raised in a family where discipline is always given. So I also learnt a lot from my parents from the way the administered discipline.
The word discipline can mean to teach or to guide. Discipline also carries the idea of education and training and at times correcting a child's misbehaviour.
Many parents tries to teach by their children proper values by example but also by firm and loving correction when needed.
Raising children can be likened to that of building a house and discipline is one if the construction tool. When used properly by parents it helps the children to build desirable qualities and personality and equips them to face trials of life.

HOW CAN WE DISCIPLINE A CHILD
1** Mental regulating discipline. This is teaching your child about God's view of doing things , his standards and requirements helping them to know that it's non-negotiable. Does it really work? YES! When you inculcate that from the time they are small it helps them to always think about how their attitude will affect their relationship with God.
2** Reasonable discipline.when you discipline a child it should be at the proper degree ,take all circumstances into consideration, know what prompted the action.
3** Use the rod.what I mean is that you should flog a child when it necessary. the be ancient proverb says "foolishness is bound up in the heart of a child but the rod of discipline will remove it far from him". But it must be balanced flog the child according to level of his misbehaviour.if your child does not adhere to your rules enforce consequences, on the other hand readily commend your child when he obeys.
4** loving discipline. It Should be promted with love . the f you are angry postpone the discipline do not discipline a child out of anger the outcome might be disastrous.
5** Set rules. Every organization needs set of rules to function decently and well. do is the family. Parents need to set rules and discuss it together with their children if have teenagers at home help the see the reason behind the rule and ask if their views too. But remember you still have the final say but you can be yielding sometimes.
6** Set boundaries and limits. children needs boundaries to help them grow into well rounded adults, without discipline children can be like a sheep without a shepherd and can get lost or harmed while wandering.eg misuse of phone might result in a loss of phone privileges for a period of time.
7** Be consistent.. when you tell your child that a certain form of discipline will result if he misbehaves make sure you stick to it . children raised without considtent discipline are likely to be self-centered and unhappy.
8** Set curfew. Parents can decide to set the hour that their children are required to be at home.the parents state their own desired time and explain why the feel it's appropriate.
Back then my parents set the time for all of us to come back home, even as an adult I can never feel comfortable staying outside late. It have a very good effect on me.
9** assign work to them.

Yes involving your children in house work it's also a form of discipline. Weather boy or girl give them chores to do .it helps to shape them
and to know that it's not only to eat but that who ever does not want to work shouldn't eat. And be serious while implementing it.discipline must be firm ,fair and consistent. Do that with love and self-control.
10** correction.

This is when you can correct a child if he have done wrong you need to be mild when reasoning with the child to see reason with you.
11** Education. Teach you child , it can be read or sitting the child
Down to inculcate some moral values to the child. Teaching the child about morality.
NOTE!!
Discipline does not mean hysterical burst of anger, screaming, insulting or derogatory words.as it have a negative effect on children , all this can stab like a sword.
