SEC14 WK:#3:🤷My Perception About House Chores

There are human activities that cannot be overlooked as they are part of their daily activities. One thing about this activity is that they are most times vital to our everyday needs and survival. Let's get started on my contribution.

👉What does House Chores mean and what is your perception about it (do you enjoy it or not, tell us)

House chores are some time that is key in every home and important because they are essential to our peaceful living. They are those activities we do to keep our home healthy for living, and as well ensure some levels of hygiene.

Sweeping, cleaning activities, washing dishes, running errands outdoors, etc are some of the home chores we are likely going to be seeing.

For example, when I joined my aunty in the village where she was preparing for her daughter's traditional wedding. She was in the company of other people who also came to assist her. These made much easier when we met on the ground.

The house was dusty, the convenience areas needed to be washed, cobwebs needed to be removed, and the compound needed to be swept. These are the chores that were quickly done as soon as we arrived. Those are the chores that we needed to be done at home.

It would been tedious since it was left for so long but due to the number of persons that handled it, it became much easier. Also, the purpose was served which was to maintain some level of hygiene.

👉What is included in the house chores that are done in your house

Just as I mentioned above, we have some vital home chores that are common to every home. They include;

• Washing of clothes and Dishes
• Sweeping
• Mopping of Floor
• Cleaning of the Restrooms
• Dusting of gadgets and upholstery
• Cooking
• Buying of food items

👉Which of them do you enjoy doing and how do you do them

As a lady, I may not have a favorite in any of the listed items above. Rather, I have there are some that I find so much easier to do. An example is washing dishes and clothes. No matter how big the used dishes may look, it doesn't bug me to handle them as quickly as possible.

Another one is preparing meals. I could remember severally when my hubby would tell me, ahhh! you just made two different soups and a stew. If he's the one, so many man-hours would be lost before just one is made.

👉Why are house chores so important to you and the family

The importance of home chores cannot be over-emphasized because of its numerous benefits to us. They include ;

• it helps us to keep the home clean through the sweeping, mopping, and washing of floors and restrooms.

• it creates some form of hygiene that makes us stay away from infectious diseases that make us sick. This is from the toilet cleaning and floor mopping with disinfectants.

• it also allows the kids to be trained on how to keep a home through hygiene and meal preparation. It ensures responsibility and ownership of tasks to every one of them.

• through this, some level of hygiene is assured to everyone. Everyone knows what to do at the right time, and personal hygiene is assured too.

👉Your advice to kids about house chores

My advice to kids is simple;

• they should be able to know how these chores are done to enable them to guarantee the total cleanliness of the home through sweeping, mopping, dusting, and washing.

• they should be able to carry out these chores which also prepares them better in how to make their own homes in terms of meal preparation and home hygiene.

• making sure they learn chores does not only improve the home hygiene but also their hygiene.

Conclusion

I will say that home chores are an important activity at home that bothers the cleanliness, hygiene, and better existence of everyone. It improves us, and our health, and represents how we are seen if visited.
