Hello dear steemians, it’s another beautiful week on writing expedition and am delighted to write to you all on on this platform on health (Physical fitness/Exercise).

What Is Exercise

Exercise is a physical activity that engages the body's muscles and requires energy. Regular exercise offers a wide range of benefits, improving cardiovascular health, muscular strength, good mood, mental health, and reduction of chronic diseases such as type 2 diabetes, obesity and heart disease. It’s also a structured or planned activity that exerts the body with movements and increasing of the heart and body rate. It is a vital act everyone should get involved in, it’s also a gradual process a person should spread across the week and scale up the intensity slowly. Meanwhile it’s important for people to ensure they drink plenty of water during and after exercise.

As a beginner during my fitness activity it was a big blast and a big task for me. I forced myself to walk at least 15kilometers marathon I ignored the pains and moved on A week after I got used to walking, running jogging etc although I lost a few weight, felt terrible but now am doing great. My first take running 15 kilometers was like a raining hell to me I almost gave up but was smooth as I got used to and eventually got a good result.

Does Physical fitness/Exercise activity improve mental health?

Of course, yes regular physical activity like jumping, running, jogging, squats, press ups etc has a profound impact on mental health and well being. Below are ways regular exercises or physical fitness activity improves our mental health they include;

• Reduction of stress and anxiety: Steady exercises helps reduce the rate of stress and anxiety level by enhancing relaxation of the mind and reduction of stress hormones like cortisol.

• Improved good sleep: This is not over emphasized, regular exercise/physical activity can improve sleep quality, helping in regulating sleeping patterns and alleviate insomnia giving a better mental health.

• Enhanced Cognitive Function: Exercise has been shown to improve cognitive functions to the memory, and concentration especially in terms of business, studies and otherwise. It can also help prevent cognitive decline associated with age.

What are the importance of physical fitness/Exercise to mankind.

• It’s Increases the muscle strength and flexibility: It can help build and maintain muscle strength and flexibility, improving the overall physical function and reducing the risk of injury to the body.

• It Supports weight management: This is where many doubt but amazingly exercise burns calories and can help control weight, reducing the risk of obesity and related health problems. Also as a lady seeking for a good looking body exercise also helps in giving a good desired curves and shapes too likes wise the opposite gender.

• Reduces the risk of chronic diseases: Regular exercise has been proven to reduce the risk of several chronic diseases, including certain cancers, fracture of the bones, the heart and osteoporosis.

• It’s Boosts energy levels: Steady exercise activity can increase the energy levels and improve overall physical endurance.

• Enhances cardiovascular health: Regular exercise helps in enhancing the heart health by strengthening the heart muscle and reducing the risk of heart disease.

What are the things you ought to consider before getting engaged in exercise/physical Fitness?

• Curtailing the habit of regular exercise not hunger: The effectiveness of physical fitness is regular exercise not hunger or food. Your weight becomes when you don’t take control over what food you crave for. You don’t need to eat as often as you think. Eat when you’re hungry, shouldn’t become a habit.

• Movement not exercise: Most at times we over look this and know this that the healthiest people in the world don’t usually hit gym but move or walk around which helps the body’s fitness. So? Try to move around when you can!

• Firstly exercise, Nutrition & lastly sleep: Exercise with poor eating or without sleep doesn’t work properly. If you have a choice between losing sleep and working out more or getting sleep and working out less, choose sleep I repeat choose sleep very necessary.

• Food not supplements: Most people I’ve come across prefer taking lots of supplements which isn’t good there causing more harm to the body, they term to over complicate fitness. Exercise requires good healthy foods and fruits too. Some list of supplements don’t equal to health.

• Water: This is the overall of it,water. As we exercise sweat evaporates from your skin, it removes heat from the body thereby loosing fluids which makes you want to drink fluids during exercise to replace the fluids you have lose when you sweat. With this act you reduce the risk of heat stress, maintain body performance and normal body functions. So drink enough water to get adequate hydration while work out.

Conclusion

Exercise improves the body’s health and fitness. It plays a vital role in supporting overall health.
