Familiarizing Children with the Mosque

Islamic Center Mosque

Assalamualaikum teman - teman steemian.
Today I will share some of my interesting stories that I spent with my children. All day I focused on the child's approach to the place of worship, namely the mosque. Indirectly I want children to always be close to the mosque, recite the Koran, play and worship at the mosque.

My day at school starts at 08.00 am until 14.00 pm. After school, I stop by the Cita Rasa rice stall for lunch. There are so many food menus available at this stall such as fried fish, catfish, omelet, fried chicken, fried shrimp, chili shrimp and quail eggs.

I ate at a rice stall with sambal prawns and quail eggs. It was very tasty on the tongue and made me addicted again. The rice that was placed on the plate was all consumed. The service provided by the rice stall was also very good. I was impressed and wanted to come back for lunch the next day.

My son and I went to the Islamic Center Mosque in the center of Lhokseumawe. This mosque is an icon of the city because almost all visitors from outside the region come to this mosque to see the beauty that radiates from the Islamic Center mosque. The mosque yard is very wide from all sides and the mosque yard is clean from all garbage. Many residents of Lhokseumawe City come in the afternoon and evening to relax here, play with children and stay in touch with friends.

My family and I went to this mosque in the afternoon around 5pm. We played there for about an hour or so and left for home before the maghrib call to prayer. The children brought foot balls to play with their friends. There are also many families who come in the afternoon with their children, their children also play and run around the mosque yard. I joined the children and their friends in playing soccer. The children are very happy and laughing cheerfully.

After leaving the mosque yard, we climbed the stairs to enter the mosque. It was also a joy for the children to climb the mosque. There were about 5 times I went up and down the stairs because the children really liked doing it. My legs were a little sore and my hands were tired, but I kept doing it for the child's pleasure and joy.

My son and I finally arrived at the mosque, after climbing several flights of stairs. Once inside, there were groups of children reciting the Quran in every corner of the mosque. Each group had an ustad and ustazah accompanying them. My son also came over and approached all the recitation groups. I am happy that this can be a habit for my child to recite the Quran when he grows up. I also familiarize him with the mosque with the aim that he will be diligent in worshipping at the mosque when he grows up. My child is very happy to play in the mosque, especially when he sees the dome of the mosque, he can be said to be a big fan of the dome of the mosque.
