Steem Kids Contest - Developing children's crpull-righteativity: "How to make a beautiful paper Gown - by @bossj23.
Greetings to everyone in this community. I want to say that I've been impressed by the effort of members of this vaunted community. I've learnt a lot from many and I've gotten to know how to do certain things perfectly @eliany's contest has made me perfect art, @ngoenyi's contest has made me learn how to draw, @steemkidss contest has made me learn how to cook and be creative in writing. In this post, I'll be showing us how to make a beautiful paper Gown. I hope this tutorial help you know how it is done. Many people question why and how art is beneficial to us. Personally, asides the fact that the art I'm into is childish, it makes me think and reason a lot. It also help me come across designs I can use in my permanent skill which is sewing and designing Men's clothes. This art and craft has given me much insight on how I can design clothes in the simplest way possible. So no knowledge is wasted. I've learnt some other crafts from members of this platform of which I wish to learn and perfect..... So this is how the tutorial goes.
Materials used
- Cardboard paper
- Plaster [Improvised]
- Scissor
- Protractor for circle
- Marker
Steps in making the gown
- First of all I took out my cardboard and measured 10×10cm for the length and breadth and then carved it out... I took out the carved part and folded it, making both ends meet each other.
- When it assumed the shape of a rectangle, I folded it again to make it square. After folding, I opened it and then fold in both sides to touch the middle line so that it assumes the position of a triangle.
- After doing that, I fold both sides in again so that It assume the shape of a kite. After doing that, I took one end and fold it sideways
I did same with the other end and then put hand inside the ends and bend it. That's how I got the top.
- For the gown, I took out a cardboard paper and drew a circle with my protractor. I then carved the circle out but before carving it, I made sure the diameter is 10cm so as to fit in.
- I then fold the paper in to assume the shape of half a circle. After assuming that position, I folded it again to make it assume the shape of a filter paper. After assuming that shape, I folded the top of both sides in and then open the circle. There was a center line that divides the cardboard so I did was to fold both sides to touch the center line of the cardboard.
- After doing that, I got my second.... So all I did was to multiply the gown by making it Three. After doing so, I joined the top with the bottom to produce a beautiful gown. I joined it with a plaster........ After that, I saw a beautiful gown in front of me.
