Last week I learnt transportation and I saw the various means of transportation and their advantage over the other. Natural resources

Natural resources can simply be defined as the free gifts of nature. They can also be defined as those materials that are drawn from nature and given little modifications in order for them to be used by man. They consist of minerals, ores, etc

• Limestone
• Natural gas

What are the uses of any 5 natural resources

• Gold: This is a natural resource that can be used in making ornaments or jewelries. Gold can also be used in the manufacture of Medicine, in financing and investing and in electronics
• Crude oil: Used in making all forms of petroleum products such as petrol, diesel, bitumen, etc
• Silver: It is used in electroplating of metals and nonmetals. It is also used for solar technology, electronics, soldering and brazing, medicine, cars, among other uses.
• Coal: Coal is used as fuel most of the time. Coal is also used in electricity generation worldwide, metal production, cement production, gassification and liquefaction, chemical production and many other industrial uses.

Renewable natural resources are natural resources that can replenish itself over time. Eg plants and forests.

What body regulates the extraction of natural resources in your country?

The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) is responsible for the monitoring of extraction of natural resources in Nigeria
The work of this agency is to make sure that most of these minerals do not go into extinction. Due to the treacherous nature of Nigerians, these agency had to be put in place because over extraction of some of these natural resources could cause some health hazards on humans and the environment in general

Besides it's use in the making of jewelry, what are other uses of gold.

It can also be used to make awards and medals especially for athletes. For example, the world cup trophy is pure gold.
