How I prevented fire from escalating

Friday, January 12th, I was in the house creating content that I would post on this platform and all of a sudden my phone rang and it my father that is calling me when I answered he told me to leave what ever I am doing and quickly rush to the farm so as to stop the fire from entries into our cassava farm and I quickly dressed up and rushed to the farm.

Reaching there, I saw how deeply the fire entered, and I was very happy to see that it hadn't and our cassava farm and I rushed and cut some fresh leaves to try and quench the fire.
I live in a military base so soldiers in our barracks helped us in stopping the fire from escalatingescalating, my eyes was very tired and everywhere was smoke and I couldn't see well or even breathe well it was a very ugly experience for me.

Luckily with the help of the soldiers we were able to quench the fire and I was very happy that it didn't enter our farm, because it would have been a bad day for me and my family members.

We spent alot of money in opening that farm and also planting the cassava and weeding it, we haven't harvested anything because the cassava is not matured for harvesting so for fire to burn it, it will be all for nothing and I was happy that the fire did not enter our farm.

My dad was very worried and he kept calling me to know if the fire is still catching, infact I was tired to receive his call and I switched my phone when I was running helter-skelter trying to prevent the fire from entering our farm land.

My brother also assisted in quenching the fire, and by the grace of God, everything went well, and we were able to quech the fire. It was a good experience for me because I learnt many fire fighting skills, and I can proudly fight any fire outbreak. The soldiers really helped us in quenching the fire fast before it became worse.
After everything I called my dad and told him how we stopped the fire from entering our farm land and also quench it, he was very happy anf proud of us and after everything me and my brother went home peacefully.

In conclusion

Fire outbreak is very dangerous to our society and also to our health and we should by all means avoid it, this is Summer and everywhere is dry fire easily transfer from one location to the other, we should learn how to be safe.
