Greetings my fellow steemians, how is your day going? I must say a big thanks to @steemkidss for organising this wonderful contest I found today's topic interesting so i decided to participate.

Meaning of plateaux

Plateaux are stretch of high ends practically with the same height above the sea levels. In other words it is a high hand with a table of a flat top, it's top is extensively and relatively flat sorounded by steep slope.

Types of plateaux
There are three main types of plateaux namely;
Tectonic plateaux:
Tectonic plateaux are formed as a result of the upliftment of some grease of the earth surface and depression of other due to earth movement.
They includes: continental blocks for instance the decean plateaux in India, mesela of central Liberia, which is lifted and uplifted area of land mass is sorounded by fold mountain ranges, They are called inter mountain plateaux for instance Tibetan plateral between the Himalayas and Kunlun and the bolivigon plateaux.

Volcanic/lava plateaux:
These are table lines produced from the spread of moltens lava on the earth surface issued from the earth crust, when these happen successive sheets of basaltic lava solidifies to form a aux of northern inland and the north western part of the decean plateaux; Colombia stake plateaux.

Those of the Centra parts of the Ethiopia and bills of mother Nigeria 🇳🇬.

Residual / dis sected plateaux:
Are those formed through the continual process of weathering and denudation of formal high and extensive plateaux by walking them down, creating irregular surface on their supes. Also these can be formed from ancient fold mountains which has been eroded and becomes uplifted. These has been possible by various streams taking their rise from the plateaux, they includes; udi nsukka plateaux of southern Nigeria 🇳🇬 and fouto ogolion highland in Guinea.

Uses of plateaux
Plateaux unlike other highlands provides

• Posture for cattle rearing.
• Defense during war.
• They influence local climate.
• Serve as natural resources for man.
• Help for development of tourism.
