WEEKLY DRAWING CONTEST-- DRAW A DOG. 🐶

Hello friends, it is yet another week of drawing. I have been enjoying this weekly drawing contest and it has been fun doing it with my children.

This week the emphasis is on Dog. So I am going to draw a dog.

Drawing a Dog

For the drawing we just need some coloured pencils, a cardboard paper, eraser and pen.

Describe a Dog

A dog as we have in our various homes is a domesticated offspring of the wolf family. This simply implies that it belongs to the wolf family.
It normally have an upturned tail, a long snout with an impressive sense of smell. It barks, howl, whines it's voice sometimes with a claw that is non- retractable.

What do you like about a Dog?

It can serve as a pet and a loving one for that matter. It can also be a loyal partner or friend even if it means sacrificing it's own life. They can be fun to stay with, acting as a playmate to the owner. They are also intelligent and can be trained to the likeness of the owner.

Have you seen one before? If yes, where?

I have seen dogs before. I visit so many families that have dogs. Sometimes too, you can see them roaming about freely on the street or area that I live.

Are they important to man?

They are very important to man. Trained dogs have be used in tracking and detecting drug related cases using it's sense of acute smell.

It can be a good companion to humans like in the case of blind persons, have helped elderly persons identify potential heart attacks even before it occurs, thereby saving their lives.

In my place they are good hunters and are used by hunters. Infact they have a special portion of every meat they catch.

They can also be used as lab animals for trying out the potency of some drugs before its application on humans.

Dog rearing can be a source of income to its owners, providing daily bread for them.

Trained dogs can also do the work of a security, securing your property even protecting your children from invaders in your home.

They also serve as meat, which I have enjoyed since I came to Akwa Ibom State. Hahahaha.

Conclusion

Dogs are intelligent and fun to be with. I hope to own some when I have my own house. If you are afraid of dogs, then you can definitely enjoy the meat.
