Cucumber - Vegetable or Fruit/ Benefits to our Health

Hello friends and steemkids. A warm welcome to another great week. I know you all had a beautiful weekend.

I will be drawing our attention to cucumber and it's health benefits.

Introduction

To some group of people, cucumber is regarded as a vegetable because of it use in the culinary world, but it also grows from flowers and also have seed which makes some regard it as a fruit botanically.

Which ever class you decide to place it, it is very important and possesses many useful benefits which we will soon mention in the course of this post.

Cucumber originated from East Asia and can grow up to 2 feet long.

It contains 95 percent of water and just 16 percent of calories

Amazing benefits of Cucumber

Cucumber can be used to to maintain the temperature of both the body and the blood.

It contains some amount of carbohydrates which could be a source of energy supply when needed.

The cucumber fruit can be used to address mouth odor issues. Just eating it and letting it press on your cavities for not less than 30 seconds can kill bacteria leading to fresh breath.

The cucumber can also be used as a cooling effects on sunburns by grinding it and applying it on the affected area.

If you have not tried this before, just do it tonight, rub cucumber slices on the hinges of the door that makes noise. The noise will suddenly disappear. This it acts as a lubricant.

Preparation of smoothie using Cucumber

From some of the benefits highlighted above, we can see that the cucumber can be used by people trying to reduce their body weight since it is more of water and less calories or carbs.

I am making a smoothie with cucumber and will be adding something it.

I just need two cucumber fruit not less than 6 inches long and two Meal replacement shakes from Edmark Co.

Wash the cucumber thoroughly with salt, them cut into pieces and put in the blender. Grind until it turns into a puree.

Pour the cucumber smoothie in a jug and add the Edmark Meal replacement shakes to it.

Add 250ml of water and stir until everything is totally mixed up in the jug.

Keep in the refrigerator to cool for some time. Then our smoothie is ready to be taken.

Remember, this can be taken as a meal replacement. It can help you burn calories and reduce carbohydrates intake.
