The phrase "Proof of brain" can be described in definitions of of two concepts : #steem blue

Proof of brain here,is concerned about the voting system as in how ,why,or what the users votes and the dedication system where users dedicate to authors and curators. The human work is valued here other than hash rate of ones army of computerd.
The Proof of brain concept seeks to emphasize on methods in order to increase the value of the network (this platform steemit)
It is observed and noticed that users producing contents add value to the network.
Therefore by creating material results in bringing new users to the platform,same as keeping existing users engaged and entertained widens the growth of the platform.

"The Proof of Brain"concept is very important to know and understand since its goal is to create awareness aboit the plartform,help in distributing its currency world wide by attracting new users and encouraging older users to be more active in the network .
By understanding it we have a higher hand on knowing the various strategies in other to attain our goals and that of the platform.plus,users who tend to be very active and creative tend to be rewarded most due to their hard work.

This concept can be applicable in somany ways,thats is bringing more users into the platform by rewarding users wgo tend to dedicate to curators and authors ,posting good quality and interesting contents that is helpful to others hence attracting more users,commenting,up voting amd supporting and encouraging one another in other to have an equal distribution in the network.

As stemians such a concept is really good to be put in practice hence giving it a winwin to us all.Most of us tend to carry it out already as we have communities who give out contests and reward winners plus participants ,the fact we all use tags in other to have attention from communities related to our posts,curators and authors is also a practice of this concept. As for those who haven't started practicing or are barely aware of such an idea,it will be great to startup,helping one another grow as a family ,#steemitfamily ..

Although it is an amazing concept ,there are some challenges we face such as the goal to keep old users engaged and entertained.It us noticed,some people would self vote their posts ,or arrange with a group of users in other to grow alone leaving out the others which us very bad.Most users tend to upvote and comment on popular users post not because of quality but because they are being compelled which discourages a lot undervalued users in the platform
Fortunately ,we could help fight such practices such as self voting which has been banned already,users should tend to upvote profitable contents and not compelling contents,contributions should be recognized for the value they add,repition votes should not be allowed,avoid conspiring votes,+increase rewards for people voting on meaningful votes and decrease curation rewards on popular users.

However ,the "proof of brain" concept still stands as a very good idea since it has helped in distributing the currencies by attracting more users to the platform but still fails in rewarding meaningful contritutions but with time,as the concept slowly creeps in the mind we could find further solutions in minimising uts disadvantages and increasing its advantages !!
