Happy new week to my fellow steemian in steem kids and parents community. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend, mine was good and peaceful by God grace. Am glad to be here again and take part in food contest challenge week #66.

This week, I will be sharing with you on my preparation of Bitterleaf soup with water leaf and melon.

Ingredients

  • Bitterleaf

  • Water leaf

  • Melon

  • Dry Fish

  • Beef

  • Stockfish

  • Crayfish

  • Cowskin

  • Periwinkle

  • Salt

  • onion

  • Seasoning cubes, Pepper

Preparation

👉 Wash and season the meat with onions, seasoning cubes, salt and pepper.

👉 When the meat is skimmed and tender and the water inside the meat had dry up, add a cup of water, add the wash Stockfish, fish and the cowskin and allow it to boil.

👉 After some minutes, open and check if the meat and the Stockfish is soft enough and add the periwinkle and allow it for 5minute before you off the light.

Now the stock is ready, the soup will also be ready in few minutes time.

👉 With another pot, heat the oil, add some slice onions and add the granded melon and stir until the water dry up.

👉 Add the slice water leaf, stir, add some granded crayfish and close the post.

👉 After some minutes, open the pot, add the stock and stir again. Check if all the ingredients are in right concentration and allow the pot to be open.

👉 Add the bitterleaf and the remaining crayfish, stir, add more oil and allow it for 5minute. After 5minute, stir and off the light.

Your delicious Bitterleaf soup with water leaf and melon is ready.

This soup can be taken with any type of swallow including white rice but depends on the individual choice.

Bitterleaf apart from been a delicious meal, is also medicinal that can boost fertility, help in weight loss, regulate body cholesterol and serves as a good antibiotic.

Your recipe is so different, I have never heard of bitter leaves being eaten. Makes soup again though. I eat bitter gourd fried or curry, I like it very much.
