Thediarygame for (03-01-2024): My Day In Words and Pictures

Dear Diary,

Wednesday, being the 3rd of January 2024, I indeed found myself so fortunate to partake in the simple yet fulfilling rhythm of village life as I travel for Christmas 🎄. The day then commenced with the genius sweet scent of morning dew and little of harmattan, as I eagerly assisted my mother in house chores and our new compound.

• So Together, we then ventured outdoors, where I promptly and eagerly took on the task of fetching water after all, feeling the weight of the bucket on my head as I made my way to the water kiosk. The sun certainly danced on the water's surface, which intense casting playful reflections as I carefully filled the container, a task that felt both timeless and grounding and repeatedly for consecutive four times.

My morning activities;

Following this, I desirably embraced the familiar act of clearing the new compound, a unique place that will soon become our cherished home and so close to our livestock farm to ease distance and stress. Then Each sweep of the broom definitely seemed to forge a deeper connection to the land, so as if through these simple actions, I was becoming one with the earth itself here. After our efforts this morning, my mother and I sat down to a humble yet warm meal warm, the kind that really tastes of love and togetherness in unity.

My Noon plans;

• As the day unfolded gradually, I then found myself seeking a place to charge my phone during the noon hours as we didn't have light, this indeed a modern link to the world beyond our village. And gloriously I was pleased charging at last. So The afternoon sun gently gave way to evening smoothly as I embarked on a visit to my dear aunt's home who invited me some days back.

Her genuine welcome was as heartwarming as the pretty aroma of the food she graciously prepared and so served me with it. We together here shared stories and laughter and as well life situation, weaving dynamically a tapestry of cherished memories that I will hold dear for years to come and so on.

The Evening Errand:

• Later, as I also ventured to a colleague's shop to retrieve my old sharpened scissors ✂️ which got worn, I so felt a sudden impulse to capture the essence of our village ony way. With my phone now charged fully, I set out to preserve the beauty of our surroundings through photography and view preservation.

The winding roads being on construction by government, the proud trees with different colors and vegetation, and the everyday events that unfolded before me became a mind-blowing snapshots of a life filled with simplicity and quiet joy. Then made my way and return with my well sharp scissors ✂️ after being sharpen, this indeed blend my vision in fashion as I've retrieve my joy giver in fashion designing.

• So As the day draws to a close, I find myself reflecting on the beauty of these moments I so acknowledge. In the midst of our daily tasks and also interactions lies a treasure trove of experiences each time, each one offering to us a glimpse into the authentic and captivating world of village life.

So With a heart full of gratitude and a spirit brimming with newfound inspiration I've gotten here, I eagerly anticipate the adventures that tomorrow and henceforth may bring to us.
