RE: SEC-S11W1:"The most embarrassing moment of my life as a kid or parent
When faced with embarrassment, humans learn from their mistakes. I have experienced embarrassment twice, and it took me weeks to recover because shame affects one's self-esteem. Once, during college exams, I spent the day playing video games instead of studying, lying to my parents about studying diligently in my room. When the results were out, I failed miserably because I hadn't studied at all. But I altered the report card, claiming I passed. Unfortunately, the college authorities informed my parents about my failure later, and they were deeply saddened. I felt extremely ashamed in front of them, as they had placed great trust in me. For weeks, I lowered my gaze in front of my parents, carrying the weight of my lie and the embarrassment I had caused in front of the college administration.
