Making another post in the Steem Kids and Parents community is excellent. I hope you all are enjoying your life with your family and kids. This is my entry post for the contest milk is called complete food, organized by @aviral123. So, I will share my perspectives on this topic.

"Milk is called complete food." Do you agree with this and why?

Milk is a nutrient-rich food that contains proteins, fats, carbohydrates, vitamins, and minerals. However, it is not a complete food that can be replaced with a main meal of our diet plan.

Importance of Milk for Humans

Milk is very important in the human diet, especially during human life's growth and development stages. It is also a primary source of calcium, crucial for bone health, muscle function, and protein for tissue growth.

What happens if you don't drink sufficient milk in the initial phases of your life ?

Reducing milk consumption at the early stage of life may cause problems since milk provides many essential nutrients for the human body's growth. Even a lower milk intake at the earlier stage of life might cause many problems in childhood.

How does one know if one is lactose intolerant, and what alternatives can one opt for ?

Lactose intolerance is a common condition affecting some people when the body cannot properly digest lactose, a main ingredient in milk. There are some symptoms, such as diarrhea, gastritis, and discomfort. However, people with this lactose intolerance can overcome it through several other sources, such as soybeans, fish, and coconut milk.

Sri Lankans usually use milk powder to prepare milk since there is not enough liquid milk production in the country. We prepare it as tea, coffee, or malted milk. I prefer making milk with other malted ingredients, which tastes fantastic.
