my actions to make our environment cleaner, greener and healthier 🌲🌲🌲🌴🌴🌴

When i came across this contest organized by @ngoenyi, i sat down and recalled how our first father and mother (Adam and Eve) lost the clean, green and healthier environment called Paradise. The Almighty wanted humans on to enjoy life on earth in a serene, clean and healthier environment, but we lost it.

That aside, we can still make God proud and enjoy life on earth by saving our environment and making it look clean, greener and healthier. That's why i want to show my own part in words and pictures how i make our environment clean, green and healthier.

What did you do?

To make my environment clean, greener and healthier, here are some of the actions i took👇🏾.

• Sweeping 🧹
• Cutting of grass🔪
• Proper disposal of waste🗑️

Environmental sanitation is very crucial because it provides healthy living for the people in our society. How will i environment look like if we eat snacks, drink sachet water and dispose improperly? The people living in the society will be sick, probably death. The government of knows the benefits of environmental sanitation, that's why we make it our duty in Nigeria to clean our environment every last Saturday of the month.

How did you do it?

I got back from exercise this morning to see our varender untidy because my siblings left to the farm to help my mum with farm work. I picked up a broom without waiting for them to do it because it's their chores and started sweeping and wiping away the nylons, paper and cans.

After sweeping and gathering the nylons, papers and can, i didn't leave it there like most people do. I packed them using my packer and dispose inside a big bag we keep our refuge.

Cutting of grass was the second action i took today so as to maintain a clean, green and healthier environment. I started by taking one of the sharpest cutlass in our house, go to the frontage of our house where those stubborn grass won't let me rest and start cutting them properly. I don't wait for environmental sanitation call before i clear those grasses because it grows rapidly as if someone is behind my back feeding it with manure. This is how it was done via pictures👇🏾.

When cutting the grass, i remain some scanty weed in the soil because this helps control erosion. Erosion control is also a way to maintain a clean, green and healthy environment.

It's always bad when we keep our environment clean then after all the effort we leave our wastebin or bag to full without proper disposal. It's the last action i took this morning to make sure everything is in place. We have a bag we dispose our nylons, papers and the likes of them.

Though it wasn't full, of which i don't like, i carried it on my back and head to the junction where I'll see a government wastebin container and dispose them properly.

Where did you do it?

Charity begins at home they say. So i practically took these actions to keep my environment clean, green and healthy at home. When you're capable of keeping your home and surrounding clean and healthy, it'll he possible to do it outside and be an exampler as well as joining forces with the government to give our land a greener look.

What motivated you?

The same way the Almighty values life, i also take life as such. So i was motivated when i realised that keeping our environment clean, green and healthy will please God, and that we take life they way He takes through our actions. The feelings of living in a serene environment also motivated me.

When i visited my uncle at Lagos state, his building, surrounding both interior and exterior was like a semi heaven, i enjoyed my stay there without sickness like cough, rashes etc. When i landed in Akwa Ibom State, Uyo, i said to myself "I want to live such life", i was motivated.

When we keep our environment clean, we'll experience real happiness, stay healthy and life long, That's the exact way i felt today after taking those actions to keep my environment clean. I encourage you all to give your best by saving our environment through environmental sanitation.
