SLC21/WK2: Introduction to Logo Design

Hello steemians today I will be participating on this steemit engagement challenge hosted by @lhorgic.

Discuss Logo design based on your understanding about the topic.

Logo design is said to be the visual components or visual identity or picture which a brand or a company use to differentiate themselves from other brand and to also help their customers find them easily.
Also a logo can be seen as a little picture that tells buyers the product they are buying through the logo which is in the product. And also a logo helps you tell if you are buying the real product or the imitation.

Discuss extensively the role and impact of logo to a brand.

A logo helps new customer to easily locate a brand especially if someone describe the brand for them let's say for example coca cola , someone who does not know coca cola brand or the company but has heard about it if you give them a vivid description of how the brand looks like the logo you will see there and how it looks like for sure the person will locate the brand faster.

Another role which logo plays is that it helps to differentiate between fake and original products for example adidas have many fake brands why I said so is that most of them always have wrong spelling and it is not the real adidas . But if you want to know the real adidas the name and the logo are always together. But the fake ones always have some different logo and different spellings.

• Explain and demonstrate visually the do's and don't when it comes to Logo design. You can do more research to be outstanding and kindly ensure not to use my specimen logo.

DOS OF A LOGO

1originality: This simply means that you must not be a copycat instead try to make your own by your self without having to copy from other brands because if you copy their kind or type of logo it is said that you are creating a fake brands out of theirs.
2 contrast this is to use eye catching and neat design when you are creating your logo because this is another thing that help customers to patronize or try a brand for the first time.
3 scalability scalability is when you create a good logo at any size both for billboard, company cards, and even on the product your logo must have a particular scale that it should be on anything that concerns the brand and it should not be too big or to small.
4 simplicity as the word implies it simply mean that you should make your logo simple and not that too much design or too much color instead try to keep things simple and good looking for people to patronize your brand or the brand.

Don'ts of a logo

1 Too many font style if a logo has three to four different font style it is very bad because it does not look attractive to the customer who wish to buy some products.
2 too many write ups normally a logo does not have much writing but if you make it too much please it is wrong and it may not attract too many customers.
3 * use of many colors* when designing your logo if you use too many colors it is seen as lack of designing knowledge. So when designing logos you are expected to use 3 at the highest to bring out quality design.

• Design a simple logo with the knowledge you have gotten from this lesson by assuming that a client gave you a job to design for his brand (business).

Starting up I assume that I was given the name steemit int and their moto is learning earning and teaching for instance. I opened up my Canva app , I went to logo and I picked a pattern of design which I need rather than copying other people's design from the web, I went straight to designing and you can see the end product. I used one colour I made thing bold and clear.

The outcome of your design should clearly tell what kind of brand/business organization you designed for. Also do well to be well detailed in your design.

This design which I made is for steemit I think we should try it out if Incase we have a social media account it can be very helpful.
