Hello, kids and friends of #Steemkids 🥰.

It's an exciting engagement contest for the week, and I can't afford not to make an entry before it ends.

Before I continue, let me invite @ruthjoe, @yakspeace, @eliany to partake in this exciting contest.

Introduction

As we know quite well that the human life is in two phases: the childhood and the adulthood. The childhood is the first phase every human passes through before transitioning into adulthood.

The Childhood is a phase of innocence, naivety yet full of fun and adventure. All Children especially toddlers (1-2 years) preschoolers ( 3-5 years) tend to be curious, adventurous that is, wanting to try a lot of things, they begin to model the little things they see their parents do in the home such as little girls of age 2 modeling their mum make up, sweep, wash etc.

It is very funny to watch them trying to do these things, interestingly they find happiness doing them.

Moreso, the Childhood is a more delicate phase: it's like a foundation for the adulthood. There are negative effects on the adulthood when the childhood is not properly guided into optimum living.Even from this phase, observant parents can deduce a child's path in life and lead such child well in it.

The Adulthood on the other end, is a unique unending phase that comes with responsibilities and lots of decision-making. It is a phase that never ends until death.

It calls for discovery of your identity, a drive to achieve your passion and a sense of responsibility for your actions and choices in life. They are the some of the hallmarks of adulthood.

Who is considered as a child in your country? Include age

In Nigeria, persons below the age of 18 is considered a Child (minority) according to Nigerian constitution. Such person maynot be punished for crimes committed but kept in juvenile homes. Persons below 18 are not permitted to consume alcohol, partake in civil duties such as voting, possessing national credentials etc.

Who is considered as an adult in your country? Include age

A Person of age 18 and above is considered
an adult in Nigeria. By law, they are entitled to civil rights and can perform civil duties such as voting, paying of taxes etc. They can also own national credentials like permanent voters card, drivers license, national passport, national Identity card etc.

Childhood or Adulthood, which do you prefer?

Both childhood and adulthood are inevitable phases of human life. Between the two, I really prefer childhood ☺️. It's such an exciting phase for me. But no one can remain a child forever 😀.

Give at least 3 reasons why you prefer childhood or adulthood

• INNOCENCE

Childhood, as I mentioned earlier, is a phase of innocence and naivety.

I like childhood because of their innocence, children's life is easy. They can let go easily. If two kids quarrel now, the next moment, they are back playing together again.
This is unlike adults. Some adults will keep distance, some will take days to make up and be back as friends again.

• NAIVETY

A child doesn't know , they learn from their environment as they grow. And as such he/she is eager to satisfy his curiosity. They become very inquisitive, wants to know everything. I was one while growing up🤭. Because of a child's naivety, he believes what his parents or teachers tell him. No argument or doubt.

For instance a child of 3 ,sees a pregnant woman and asks you why is her tommy big, if you reply that it's because she ate plenty food, the child will believe it. An adult will likely argue , refute it or make further investigations before accepting.

• ADVENTURE

They want to try several things, full of adventure. Some of us may have seen kids of ages of 4,5, 6, the boys in particular, trying to design a carton car, paper plane , carton phone, all in a bit to model the real ones. If the parent is into acting, don't be surprised to find the child mimicking a role.

If parents are into music, the child models the parents singing. As far as they watch, they can act or model . The girls want to model their mother, want to help with chores they are not able to do. The way she cares for her doll like baby. It can be amusing 😀.

• LIFE FREE FROM CARES

Childhood is a phase free the cares of life such as thoughts of what to eat or wear. Their parents cater for their needs. Children live a free life, free from thoughts or worries. They are happy most times, it's when they want something, they show their displeasure. While I grew up, I enjoyed my needs being met as a child.

People even gifts a child more on their special days like birthdays. Everybody shower love on you as a little child. It's such an enjoyable phase.

But as adults, you are responsible for yourself. You plan what you will eat and cater for your clothing and other needs. You are responsible for the choices you make. Hence, more thoughtfulness and care is needed to make your choices right. More expectations from you, more is demanded from you because you have become an adult, which is also great. You are in charge of yourself.

Conclusion

In conclusion, the childhood phase is a naturally sweet but very short of life compared to the demanding unending phase of the adulthood. Both phases are necessary to form a complete human.

Childhood is for me , I love this first phase of life for its innocence, adventure, curiosity, ease and natural simplicity of living. It's such a short phase that ends suddenly.

I wish I could go back there!
