Talking about technology is a fairly complex problem, because technology includes all technical equipment to facilitate us in the aspects of information and communication and technological developments have had a great influence on mankind. As we can see today, technological developments made by humans such as smartphones can make it easier for them to reproduce information and communication from various parts of the world.

The question is, does technological development have positive and negative sides in early childhood life?

• The positive side of technological developments as we see them today. Technology is able to provide positive things in the field of learning, for example what happened a few years ago regarding the corona virus (COID-19) from here we can assess how important the role of technology is in this digital era. In Indonesia itself, various schools are temporarily closed due to the virus, for that they have to carry out the online teaching and learning process at their respective homes with smartphone technology that they can learn such as Zoom which can make it easier for them to learn. . . the learning process is like in a school room, only different if Zoom has more open space at home and is easier for parents to control.

• The negative side of technological developments, there are some mistakes that occur today, some parents buy smartphones to study. But this will have a very bad impact, when the lack of supervision from parents who should from technology media can be used as a learning method, has a bad impact on early childhood. What are the negative sides of early childhood? For example, information spread on the internet is not necessarily true, and many hoax sites are widespread in the field of information technology. Second, a lot of news related to violent and pornographic sites. although some of the news is true, but it is not suitable for minors, from here it takes supervision from parents to be more educated in linking their knowledge in the next phase.

Can you have control over children's exposure to certain technology products?

To protect some sites that contain pornography from children, you can enter the smartphone settings menu, then select the privacy mode and select the children's room. So all adult content sites such as youtube and the internet that contain elements of violence or pornography will be closed automatically, so they only display learning content and colorful images that are important for your child's future growth and development. Your role as a parent must always be supervising even if you have made settings on your phone "you can whenever possible, you forget to turn off the mode, it is important that you continue to monitor and provide learner content so that they grow better".
