Unforgettable punishment

Childhood!childhood is full with so many memories that one can forget and might not forget.Both the good and the bad memories makes it unforgettable.
Things we did that got us scolded and some that got us praised.Let’s take a look on yet another contest organized by @drhira.

Growing up,I was a little bit stubborn I must confess.i like to stay away from anything that will get me scolded or punished cause I don’t like it,but still trouble always find a way to locate me.
I was punished in school and home not all the time but once in a while stuff.there are so many that I can mention about what happened but I will talk about this particular one.

Who knew I will get punished alongside with my brother on a beautiful Saturday.my dad and mum and sis had gone out leaving just my brother and I at home,my big bro later went out and left me all alone at home.i was left home to do whatsoever I felt,that is an amazing feeling that everyone loves.I ate,watched tv all day and enjoyed my self,not until I felt sleepy and I went to the room to sleep.

My brother later came in and scolded me about not closing the main gate so I went to do so and he also went to sleep in his room.
My father came later and knocked and knocked but none of us heard him.he asked neighbors if we went out but they said we were in,he went to our friends house,called my mum and everyone wondering where we could have gone.
He was getting furious and angry and was like where could we go without informing anyone.he even had to climb the roof but couldn’t get anywhere.funny enough,one of us came out to open the gate and went back to sleep,that was what got my father very angry cause we both denied not coming to open the door.He was like so we were in and he was disturbing himself yet we didn’t open the door.

I have never seen my dad so angry that day because he hardly gets angry nor beat us,but that day wasn’t funny.my brother and I were secretly flogged even after being ours begged my father,he didn’t accept .

We were severely punished.After getting flogged mercilessly,we were asked to kneel down and carry blocks for hours.with all my crying my didn’t leave us until evening but he later begged us not to be angry with him but what we did was wrong.
From that day,I was always conscious whenever I slept so as to avoid something of sort happening because the house could be burning and still wouldn’t know due to sleep.

In conclusionFrom my punishment,I learnt to always be alert even when sleeping because sleeping made me get punishment from my dad.It’s a thing I remember and I just laugh at how silly I was.
