While parents should avoid forcing their children to eat meals they detest or to "clean" their plates, there are many healthy foods that kids like. Parents frequently neglect "kid-friendly" things such as hot dogs, pizza, french fries, chicken nuggets, juice, and soda in favour of "kid-friendly" items such as hot dogs, pizza, french fries, chicken nuggets, juice, and soda.

Learning to avoid high-calorie, high-fat foods in favour of foods high in fibre, low in fat, and high in calcium, iron, and other vitamins and minerals would be extremely beneficial to your children.

Apples, like other fruits, are delicious as a snack. They're juicy, sweet (or tart, depending on the variety), and low calorie (about 90 calories for a medium apple). They're also high in vitamin C and fibre, with a whole unpeeled apple providing about 5 grammes. 1

Unfortunately, apples are one of those healthy foods that may be turned into a less healthy "kid-friendly food" and lose most of its nutritional value.

Parents frequently offer their children peeled apples, applesauce, or apple juice instead of an unpeeled whole apple or a divided up entire apple.

When you peel an apple, you lose around half of the fibre, and applesauce has a lot less fibre and a lot more sugar and calories than a whole apple.

2). Eggs

So eggs are safe to consume once more? Because of their high cholesterol level, eggs used to get a bad rap, but most nutritionists now agree that eggs can be a healthy part of your diet.

Take, for example, cholesterol. Despite the fact that eggs contain cholesterol, they are low in saturated fat, which is the more important factor in raising one's cholesterol level. 4 Even yet, most children can get by with one egg every other day.

3).Milk

Although it may appear that toddlers and preschoolers cannot get enough milk, many children consume less and less milk as they grow older. Rather than a hate for milk, this is most likely due to the quantity of other drinks available at home, such as soda, fruit drinks, and too much fruit juice.

Unless a child has a milk allergy, milk is a good source of calcium, vitamin D, and protein and should be included in their diet.

Most youngsters, depending on their age (low-fat milk if they are at least 2 years old), should drink 2 to 4 glasses of milk each day, especially if they aren't eating or drinking any other high-calcium meals.

4).Vegetables

In truth, vegetables are among the best foods for children, but that doesn't imply you should trick or force your children to eat Brussels sprouts, broccoli, or spinach.

Children adore cooked carrots, maize, peas, and baked potatoes, to name a few vegetables.

Carrots that have been cooked are abundant in fibre, vitamin A, vitamin C, and potassium, making them a particularly nutritious choice.

Remember to introduce a variety of vegetables to your children at an early age, provide plenty of options, lead by example by eating vegetables as a family, and continue to serve very small servings of vegetables even if your children refuse to eat them. They will eventually eat them if you keep giving them to them.

5).Yogurt

Yogurt is an excellent source of calcium and a nutritious food for children, particularly those who do not consume a lot of milk.

You might think your kids are fine because they already eat yoghurt, but if all they eat is a kids' brand with added sugar and no added probiotics, they could be missing out on some of the nutritional benefits of yoghurt.

When buying yoghurt for your kids, look for one that contains "live active cultures," is low in fat, and has minimal added sugar.
