The Aussie outback is the best part of the country. Its the only part I miss.
Its a pity that most Aussies spend their whole lives in unremarkable, overly large cities and ignore the rest of the country.
It’s a pity (and sometimes a blessing, depending on if they are a polluting jerk or not) that most people in the cities around the world never experience nature like this.
Several years ago I brought a friend of mine and his now-wife hiking bear my parents house and she grew up in the region but in her 24 years had never hiked or been in the woods before. I was like wtf?
