OMEN
Mother is deadš
Today, I dreamt
Stiff trees waving to the left
Their fruits dripping red
Mother said itās bad omen
āPray and go to bedā
Again, I dreamt
Black caps with wailing sirens
Little girls crying
Mother said somethingās fishy
āsleep Iāll be prayingā
I dozed, I dreamt
Chameleons drown in a river
Fishes taking bites
Mother said itās just my mind
āSon, sleep. Youāll be fineā
Once more, I dreamt
Hyenas crunch a bloody bone
Lost dogs far from home
I wonāt disturb mother! No.
Iād rather boil stones
Today, I dreamt
Whispers told me to wake up
To women weeping songs
Of my mother who never saw the dawn
Of the sun she gave birth to.
This is not reality
This is not a dream
A story maybe.š»
"Dreams are omens of a manās fortune."
