Walk along the promenade after the rain

A lot of people usually walk along this embankment. The rain caught me on the road. I stopped to wait out the weather in one of the gateways on the next street and the embankment was almost deserted immediately after the rain. Many people came here for a walk in half an hour.

Lieutenant Schmidt's Embankment is located on the right bank of the Big Neva River below the Blagoveshchenskiy bridge. The Blagoveshchenskiy bridge is the last bridge on the Neva from the bay side. During the day, large ships gather on this section of the embankment to pass towards Lake Ladoga at night, when the bridges will be lifted. Therefore, the proximity of the sea is strongly felt on this part of the quay.

The berths are located along the embankment and a submarine is moored to one of them. It's a museum. Children adore it, it is quite spacious for them, but adults have a hard time overcoming the narrow passages.

A sailing ship is a training ship for young sailors. I was lucky to catch a moment when one of the tugboats stepped away from the berth and got a beautiful shot.
