30% of this post payout is set to @steemingcuration

Procrastination is a big problem in today's world. It is actually lack of motivation to do something useful.

We often keep pending our urgent work and as a result, we may miss important deadlines. Also, if we are compelled to do the work at the last moment, that may affect the quality of the work. Doing an work at the last moment also leave us no time to receck and correct the mistakes. Rectification of work is greatly hampered due to the habit of procrastination.

As a human being, I also had habit of procrastination, specially my office work. Not only delaying operational activities, I had procrastinated in submitting my own appraisal thinking that I will do it later.

Then I realized, we need to get rid from "I have enough time left to complete this" mindset. It's not that we need to jump whenever the work is assigned and complete in hurry without understanding the activity or the requirements. However, we should not keep pending any activity without reason.

I started using Microsoft to do to plan my work. There are many similar online and offline planner available. Completing and making an work "completed" gives me a sense of satisfaction. It alsi help me to priorities my work and plan my day accordingly.

After starting to use this, I am able to manage my day better and getting more free time for my family life and social life.

My suggestion is, understand an activity once assigned, priorities your work, do the work as per priority without unnecessary delay. Once completed, review the work done with a fresh mind, make changes if observed in own review, then submit and if possible ask for peer/supervisor review. If peer review or supervisor review is possible then be open to feedback and apply the changes. This will increase the quality of your work. It will also increase your reputation for before time delivery and help you to grow at the long run.

good point here, when the work is done earlier there is still time to be reviewed by colleagues and it can be made even better.

Hello @fabio2614, many thanks for reading my post and validating it.

Peer review is very beneficial in work. However, one need to be open to feedback and work on the feedback received.
