BARKADA KONTRA DRUGA: SAY NO TO DRUGS

The number of youths who engage in illegal drugs are disturbingly increasing which led the public schools to conduct a virtual orientation about drug prevention especially to the secondary students. The virtual orientation happened through the efforts initiated by the Department of Education, stake holders and other institutions. The Barkada Kontra Druga program is a companion bunch coordinated to give and support school exercises that elevate mindfulness and intercession to tranquilize misuse and its connected issues.

Addiction in illegal drugs are very common nowadays and is one of the major problems that the country constantly facing. Up until now, our government is still trying to suppress this issue. Through this orientation, it helped the students to have such an open mind about the consequences if engaging in illegal drugs. The main objectives of this orientation is to help the youths to be the role models to the future generation and to help the students to function to its best. The orientation give help not just to the students but also for the out of school youths because the virtual orientation was accessible for everyone and that’s the good side of holding an orientation virtually.

The youth plays a vital role in the society despite of many Filipino people lost their hope to the youths as being the hope of the country, but our government is still believing in Jose Rizal's famous quote that's why they are doing their best by conducting a virtual orientation to help the youths. With the help of the orientation, it gives us realization that having a fear to God is very important and by having the characteristic it helps us not to do bad things, and eventually will lead us to the right path.
