Hunting Mangrove Crab to Increase Income during the Pandemic

How are you today..? I always hope that you are all in the protection of Allah and in good health. What's more, during a pandemic like now we all need to maintain health and hygiene, don't forget to comply with health protocols, continue to be enthusiastic about activities and do creativity to write posts. My post this time is about activities to make a living during the pandemic by hunting mud crabs.

During the current pandemic, it is quite difficult to carry out activities as usual because the government has implemented activity restrictions for the community. Since the pandemic hit Indonesia, many things have changed, one of which is in terms of activities to earn a living, in Aceh especially now it is very limited to do other activities at night.

To meet their daily needs, people still have to do activities to work, although nowadays many people are laid off from work but they make a living in any way and anywhere. I am one of the many people who are now making a living by doing odd jobs and their income is uncertain.

One of the jobs I'm currently working on is hunting mangrove crabs in the estuary where I live, this job I do only part time when I don't have another job. Sometimes I can collect around 3 kilograms of crabs a day, if I'm lucky I can get more than that.

The income from selling mangrove crabs is not much but it is enough to help my family with daily needs, sometimes in a week I go hunting for mangrove crabs up to 4 times when I don't have other work. I hope this pandemic period will end soon and I can return to my activities to earn a living like before, the family's economic situation is getting worse due to the ongoing pandemic period.
