Contest: A DAY TO REMEMBER

Good day steemians.Surely, there are some days in every individual's life which would be very tedious to forget when remembered. The events on those days could be happy or sad. On this note, I would like to share with you a day to remember in my life.
It was not easy at all for everyone on that day. That was our last paper day during the West Africa senior secondary certificate examination (WASSCE) in 2018. In that morning, there was laughter between us and the teachers, without knowing that it would turn to tragedy in the evening, as the paper started at 1:00pm and was a 2-and-half hour paper. Unknown to all of us in the hall, the head master entered and announced to us that we had only 30-minutes to leave the campus after the paper. This was a surprise to us, which we thought was a joke until we saw with our two eyes a group of soldiers at the entrance of the hall. I was shocked by what brought about that.

Immediately after the paper, the soldiers started chasing us to leave the campus. This was pathetic because most of our colleagues were from far places and were planning to set off the next day. We were chasing harphazardly like cattle. Most of the students were flogged with over-expected canes since they were met in dormitories by the soldiers.
The bullying forces most students to run, leaving their items on campus. For instance, I ran and left my phone, calculator and other particulars at school.

Upon all the chasing, some students angrily went and spoiled the head master's air conditioner in his house. The glasses on the notice board were all smashed by students. Strange to most of us, that a group of students planned on doing a demonstration after the paper and that resulted in affecting us all. But that shouldn't have led to bullying us by flogging. In the process of our leaving, a heavy rain with wind started falling. Most of us from different towns were beated by the rain. How sad was this day?
I ran with my friend who was from the town to his house. I couldn't eat when it was time for supper due to how bitter it was. I realized the next day that some students were sleeping on the nearby junior high school verandas, which suddenly rolled tears out of my eyes.
My junior in school took my items to me at early dawn the next day. I was also annoyed at being obedient, but finally left the school in that manner. I was told after reaching home that I should take it normally, for that would be a day to remember. I'm sharing this with colleagues to benefit by preventing others from doing evil in order to save innocent people from what has already affected us on that day.
