Let's start from the slogan of my youth - MUSIC IS YOUR ONLY FRIEND, UNTIL THE END... Actually there is so much truth in this expression. You could be counted as a lucky man if you have a handful of real friends in modern society. But MUSIC will never betray you, never...

But, let's go back to the topic.

Obviously most of You know me a photographer. While in fact, music always was just a huge part of my life, especially in my youth. Even a funny and true fact is, my first photography attempts back to late 80ths (on a film camera) mostly were attempts to make a photos of music posters. Remember, I was born actually in USSR and late 80ths was a time of Perestoryka and such things like Western music only started leaking into the local market. Posters were just hell of a rarity :)

So, end of 80ths and one of the most obvious case those times - a became just a HUUUUGE fan of DEPECHE MODE!!!

DEPECHE MODE FOREVA!!! Yeah, still a lot of emotions... By that time we had only tape players, not even CD ones, too rare. Still remember rewinding tape cassettes with a pencil.. Ohh, that was TIMES! I even had a haircut a-la Dave Gahan really :) Epoch of classic synth-pop: Pet Shop Boys, A-Ha, Erasure, Camouflage. Magic names, magic memories

Beginning of 90ths I was studying in St.Petersburg, Russia. Was a big fan of Russian DM clone - Technologiya. While for those few years got really heavy influenced by Russian Rock bands like Kino, Alisa, Agata Kristi, Nautilus Pompilius

Up to now I have passed through just many genres up to Death Metal even. But have to admit that my favorite genres still remains classic synth-pop, EBM, and Gothic/Darkwave

DEPECHE MORE was and remains favorite ever band and was lucky to attend few heavy gigs and even managed to take into the arenas pretty compact camera. So the photos which to follow are made by me from the center of the crowd in a VIP zone. Those are from the last "Revolution Tour" shot in Vilnius Siemens arena in February, 2018

Furthermore, here is video from insane Never Let Me Down Again shot just form inside the crowd waving the hands. Unbelievable and non explainable feeling when few thousand people just waving their hands in TOTAL EXCTASY - starts at 04.13 (a bit bad sound, but what to expect from small system camera)

Uff, well. Coming to the local music scene in Klaipeda... I really have very favorite local band "ROYCE". I know all guys personally and front men with bass guitarist are good friends of min. They have started their carries from the tribute to DEPECHE MODE (ohh! what a coincidence really, haha) , but year by year they developed their own style, now is more into Alternative Rock

Well, really I could write about music and my favorite bands all the night, but lets keep post still more or less compact and still readable :)

Most probably I'm gonna dream DEPECHE MODE tonight :D

Ahh, and just to mention, long time ago, while studying at University I was trying to play acoustic guitar too. I still have one at home, but don't even remember when last time took into hands to play, and not for photoshoots. And have pretty wide set of musical instruments for photoshoot purposes, hah. Couple violins, saxophone and even Cello (not to forget white Piano!!!)
