100 DAYS OF STEEM - Friday Challenge - How Much Does Your Shopping Cost?
Pretty fun topic for the last Friday Challenge. Indeed it is quite interesting to compare not only how various supermarkets and shops look like in a different countries and even continents, but also to see and compare real prices
I live in quite a small city Klaipeda, Lithuania with only about 150K population. While it is at seaside, which is biggest bonus, but have to admit Baltic Sea is not really so much warm to count the city as a resort one. While Summer time is still pretty cool here, and right now we experiences few really hot days with temperature reaching 25-27 degrees. But sea still remains very cold with only 13-15 degrees so far
Anyway it is hot outside, so closer to evening decided to get to nearby supermarket and buy some necessary staff. More like light one and drinkable due to present weather conditions
My house located in pretty nice position in a walking distance to all main supermarkets (networks) we do have in our city (and in country in general): Maxima, Rimi, Iki, Norfa, Lidl. While my favorite one always was RIMI. It is maybe a bit more expensive than others, but I like the fact that it is never overcrowded, always clean and has pretty big territory and everything necessary for a daily living, starting from food and ending with various household items
Some general views when you enter it
Basically all food and other items are located in different segments of the supermarket. And its very convenient when you know exactly what do you want to buy (and not first time at this particular supermarket of course
Milk products sections, various hand made salads, fruits and vegetable, fish product (fresh and conservated), bread section
Today, however, and due to very hot day, obviously special attention was paid to few special sections, namely: ice cream and beer :) We have just a lot of ice cream types here. As well as beer actually is traditional Lithuanian drink and very popular. For last few years non-alcoholic beer became very popular and not really differs in taste from the normal one.
Finally, on the way to the exit passed the section with coffee and few more shots how everything looks like
And now lets come closer to the topic and to see what we have got today and how much was paid for everything. Here is the final shot of the products bot (with additional photo of ice creams which we have eaten on the way home). And a final receipt
And now lets go to final figures
