11Again I looked throughout the earth and saw that the swiftest person does not always win the race, nor the strongest man the battle, and that wise men are often poor, and skillful men are not necessarily famous; but it is all by CHANCE, by HAPPENING to be at the RIGHT PLACE at the RIGHT TIME.
The favour of God is what combines circumstances and events to bring good to your life! It positions you in the right place at the right time.
There is the story of the woman of Shunem in 2 Kings 8. This woman had several encounters with the prophet Elisha. First, her long awaited son came through the ministry of the man of God. The boy died and was raised back to life through the ministry of this same prophet. At the instruction of God's servant this woman had moved to the land of the Philistines because the prophet was told by God that there was a famine coming to the land of Israel.
After seven years she returned and was headed for the King's courts to demand for her lands be restored to her.
While she made her way to court, God had already positioned Gehazi - the prophet's servant - in the court for her without her knowing! Even Gehazi didn't plan it.
In the course of their discussion, the king requested Gehazi tell him about the great miracles of the prophet. Of all the many events that took place in the prophet's ministry, Gehazi found himself telling the king about the story of the woman of Shunem who's son had been raised to life by the man of God. While they were still talking, the woman walked into the courts.
2 Kings 8:5 says, "Now it HAPPENED, as he was telling the king how he had restored the dead to life, that there was the woman whose son he had restored to life, appealing to the king for her house and for her land. And Gehazi said, “My lord, O king, this is the woman, and this is her son whom Elisha restored to life.” The Bible says IT HAPPENED... Gloooooory!
An onlooker will either call this 'luck' or 'coincidence' but I call it the 'favour factor!' it is the favour of God that positions you at the right place at the right time to meet the right people and as a result bring you the right results.
According to our text, what makes you win life's races isn't necessarily because you are swift although you most certainly need to be swift to be in the race! But you need to understand that you could be the swiftest and never even have the opportunity to ever make it to the 'championship!'
The word 'luck' has been defined as 'the FORCE that seems to operate for good or ill in a person’s life, as in shaping circumstances, events, or opportunities.'
That 'force' is the favour of God! It is the blessing of God.
As a believer you must believe with all your heart against all odds that you are blessed and favoured only then will you begin to see and experience things change for your good!

|| I am a believer, I am a child of God, I am highly favoured and deeply loved. I can say with all confidence that as I step out today, the favour of God has orchestrated events for my good. He has positioned people, resources and opportunities for me because of His great love for me. I'm in the right place at the right time, meeting the right people, getting the right results in Jesus name.||
