Those were the most sublime days, they were a pause in time, that moment when the other authorities did not matter, nothing else mattered but making her happy.

Everything happened after a fatal announcement, where hopes no longer gave to help much more, where doctors marked their expiration dates on the calendar, changing priorities as suddenly as the sigh happens.

We make time and money without any remorse, we set off towards his dream in which that island was the protagonist, it was a time when medicines were not necessary, where hospitals or pain were not missed.

I remember her hand securing my company, remember that I felt her love every day, those days where we hunted mollusks on the shore of the beach and the laughter multiplied when sharing them with each other.

Turning that island into our parallel world, erasing from our minds the future and the past, confirming that the family takes advantage of the present, although tomorrow we cannot control it.

This poem is about the last trip we made with my maternal grandmother, just after the cancer will take the advantage, but we were wrong, for me its one of the most beautiful memories I have of my childhood. Because in those two weeks she doesnt felt pain and none tear ran down her face.
