All about the Universe- Part 1

in Zero to Infinity3 years ago

The events of 1995. The Hubble Telescope was aimed by astronomers at the time in a space where it seemed as if nothing had happened, total darkness. There was a kind of fear and apprehension among the scientists at that time. What could the Hubble Telescope find! (If there is anything at all).

However, pictures taken by the Hubble Telescope took everyone by surprise. Looking at the pictures, it is understood that about 1500 galaxies are currently scattering their light far away from the Earth in this empty space.
It is shocking to think how small and insignificant this world is and how we are living in it compared to this huge universe!

What is the universe?
What is the universe or space? - The answer to this question is not easy at all. There are many mysteries hidden in space. But simply put, our universe is all about everything we touch, feel, or measure with our five senses. It contains living things, such as humans, plants, and animals, as well as planets, stars, galaxies, light, and even time.

Scientists believe that none of these things existed before the creation of the universe. Considering the size of space-time, the universe is much larger, perhaps infinite. And this universe is much older than humans.
Our universe is a whole world of space, time, and energy. Its journey began 13.8 billion years ago. Since then, the universe has probably been getting bigger and bigger.

Humans still do not have a clear idea of where the end of space is or what the end will be. However, efforts to find out continue.

How big is the universe?
After studying space for the past few centuries, scientists have come to the conclusion that the universe is so large in size that it is impossible to get a full idea of it. This is because we have not found the last boundary of the universe (if there is anything called the last boundary at all).

The part of the universe that we know or can know is called the visible universe. Beyond the visible universe, there is a universe behind it. However, no light from that world will ever reach Earth. So at the moment, we don't know any way to know about that invisible world.
The length of the visible universe is at least 93 billion light-years.

The planets, stars, and galaxies of this vast universe are spread far and wide. A state-of-the-art fighter jet would take more than a million years to reach the nearest star to the Sun, Proxima Centauri.
And even if we run at the speed of light, it will take 1 lakh years for our galaxy to cross the Milky Way.

Scientists have been researching for many years to find out the true shape of the universe or the mystery of huge cosmic objects like galaxies, black holes, and stars.
