Invention of CLOCK

The clock was not invented overnight or overnight. The first was made in hours, then minutes, then seconds.
Earlier, the main reliance of man for knowing time was sun, moon and stars.
In the beginning, time was measured by the light and shadow of the sun.
The first clock was discovered in Egypt about five and a half thousand years ago.
The sundial was first invented time measuring device by the Egyptians.
Shadow clock, candal clock, water clock, sand clock.these are all the oldest time measuring instruments. The Sun Dial was used by our ancestors from about 1500 BC to the fourteenth century.

Introduction of the oldest clock

SUN DIAL CLOCK

A sundial is a clock that calculates time based on the position of the sun in the sky. It is only used to determine local time. The structure of the sundial is very simple. It was L-shaped clock. The sundial dial consists of two parts. A horizontal plate or dial and a gyonom.Gyonom looks like a triangular blade. It is mounted on the dial in such a way that its shadow is clearly visible on the dial. The dial has different hours and marks on it.At different times of the day the shadow of the blade follows different parts of the dial. This shadow on the sundial determined the time.
This divided sunlight into 10 parts.
It was invented in 1500 BC in Egypt. This clock was used in many countries of the world.
From very small to large sundials were seen at that time. Some carried sundials around their pockets. There is a sundial in Paris that is quite large.

Errors of the sundial clock

The sundial could not be used at night.
On a cloudy day this watch would become obsolete.

The use of this watch gradually declined towards the eighteenth century.

Star Clock

People could know the time of day by sundial, but they could not know the time of night. As a result, a star clock was invented by the Germans. The star clock is basically a star in the sky. Which looks like W. It rises in the north of the sky and slowly moves south, even as the star rotates clockwise around the pole, allowing time to be determined effortlessly. Its name is 'Casiopia'.

Water clock

Water clock is a time measuring instruments by which time is measured by water flow. The water clock was basically a sloping stone vessel that allowed water to flow at a steady rate from a small hole near the bottom.
It did not depend on sun, moon or star. It was found in Babylon, Egyept, persia around 16 BC. Some other region also have evidenced of water clock including India, China. The Greek began to use this clock about 325 BC. They named it as klepsidras or "water thieves".
These watches were used to determine the hours at night, but they can also be used in daylight. Another version had a metal bowl with a hole in the bottom. If placed in a container of water, the bowl will be full and will sink within a certain period of time. These are still used in 21st century North Africa.

Sand Clock

It is also known as Sand timer, hour clock, hourglass, egg clock.
It was like water clock.
The origin of sand clock is not clear.
In sand clock many used powdered marble, Tin, lead oxide also burnt eggshell.
The hourglass is made up of two attached glass bulbs with a narrow neck. This neck allows the sand or materials flow upper bulb to lower bulb.

Conclusion

The invention of the watch has brought many changes in human life. The current clock is able to detect even the most subtle time difference. One of the best inventions in the science is clock.
