Difference between Computer Software and Hardware

Computer Hardware: Computer hardware refers to the parts of a computer that we can actually see and touch. Notable examples of computer hardware are circuit board, IC, network cable, motherboard, processor, keyboard, mouse, monitor. When it comes to mobile hardware, the battery of the mobile, the touch screen of the mobile, the volume rockers are all these things. In general, hardware refers to the components of a computer that can run on our computer or laptop or mobile.

Computer Software: Computer software is a computer program created between certain procedures or instructions and documentation through which some instructions are easily given to the computer and the computer works accordingly. For example, the operating systems we use on our computers, such as Windows XP, Windows 10, Linux, all these operating systems are known as computer system software .All of these computer software and application software coordinate with computer hardware to help perform a specific task.

Every time we use a printer, it has software that allows us to use a specific user interface to tell a printer how many copies of color or black and white photos we want, or what we want to scan is computer software. Different companies have different types of software with which we can work on printers or everything else. So software is an application that programs programs that tell computer hardware exactly what to do.

Difference between computer software and hardware:

  • Computer hardware is a physical device that allows us to run software, while computer software is an application program that performs a specific function in conjunction with a hat.

  • Computer hardware is basically factory made or manufactured by a vendor and computer software is usually made by software development companies like Intel, Navidia.

  • Examples of hardware are various storage devices such as hard disks, SSD drives, graphics cards, keyboards, mice, output devices such as computer monitors.

  • Computer software such as Java programming language, C ++, software, Adobe, Photoshop, Canvas.

  • Computer hardware we can see and touch. But computer software cannot be touched only by virtual.

  • Computer hardware is not usually infected by viruses, but computer software is often infected by viruses.

  • If the computer hardware goes bad we can replace it but if the computer software goes bad it is diagnosed as BUG or it is rectified or the software is re-installed in the setting.

  • These computer hardware devices cannot travel from one place to another via the Internet or the network. But software programs can easily move from one place to another.
