Hello to everyone here in the great community called Steem Bangladesh. It is indeed a beautiful week and a great contest that has been organized in this community. today I will be talking about an important aspect of the medical science field which I have titled "The introduction of Penicillin". I employ you to sit comfortably as a drop my entry.

WHAT IS PENICILLIN?

It is said to be a particular group of antibacterial drugs, that is, they fight against bacteria invasion. penicillin is considered to be the very first medication that doctors used to fight against bacteria attacks, this penicillin automatically changed the world at a rapid rate, penicillin has saved numerous lives so far, the discovery of this drug has been one of the greatest evolution in the aspect of medical sciences.

Penicillin was said to have been discovered by a man called Alexander Fleming. History has it that he returned to his laboratory where he carried out most experiments and noticed a bacteria called Staphylococcus in a petri dish with its lid absent and that the dish became contaminated with a mold known as the Penicillium notatum. and Alexander Fleming on seeing this, then saw a clear ring has surrounded the mold that stopped the bacteria from growing again.

WHAT DOES PENICILLIN CURE?

Penicillin is a powerful medication and it cures some bacteria disease infections, such as gonorrhea, meningitis, pneumonia, syphilis and also endocarditis and so on. so the penicillin medications work and treats the mentioned bacteria infection when it is being taken by the patients that are infected with these diseases.

On the account of administering this penicillin medication to the affected patients, the anti-bacteria drugs can take effect after a few days. so it is recommended that after taking the drugs do not be in a hurry to conclude, you should wait for a few days before you can see the manifestation of the drugs, also it depends on the particular infections because some take longer than others before one can recover fully.

TYPES OF PENICILLIN

As we all know, penicillin is widely used to treat children cases, and so different types are widely divided into four basic groups.

• Natural penicillin

Natural penicillin is of two types and is manufactured biosynthetically by the process called fermentation and they are produced from penicillin chrysogenum. this penicillin is used for treating pneumonia.

• Penicillinase-Stable Penicillin

---

This particular group is known as the second generation of penicillin. this group is anti-bacteria that are very resistant to the enzymes from bacteria and as such, they are widely used for treating streptococcal and staphylococcal bacteria infections.

• Aminopenicillins

---

Aminopenicillins also are among the penicillin group, aminopenicillin possesses an amino group and this facilitates the activities of its anti-bacteria action. and these medications are widely used to cure strong infections such as the respiratory, skin, urinary, and also gastrointestinal tract infections.

• Extended-Spectrum Penicillin

The extended-spectrum penicillin is also a group of penicillin and they are used widely to tackle infections such as sepsis, and skin and lower respiratory infections. sepsis is considered a life-threatening sickness that is caused by the body's response to a particular infection.

CONCLUSION

Science has indeed provided the various remedy for survival, it is with the help of science that the world-class medication known as the penicillin, has saved a lot of lives and it is still saving lives to date, it is a strong antibiotic drug that counters the infestation of bacteria infection in the human body.

It is a thing of joy knowing that the evolution of science has made a man to produced a medication like this that can save lives and with scientific approaches many drugs just this have been produced and are still being produced regularly.
