Rangpur zoo is the second largest zoo after the Bangladesh National Zoo in Bangladesh. Rangpur Zoo is located in the Rangpur Division of Bangladesh. Rangpur Zoo was established in the year of 1989. Rangpur zoo is the most famous place to visit in the North Bengal zone. In this zoo, there is about two hundred and fifteen animal characteristic of 26 species. Later, this zoo has been renovated to attract the attention of the visitors. A children's park has also been established to fascinate the children. The variety of the zoo and the park is enormous attention for the visitors.

My Travel

I visit the Rangpur zoo several times. As far as I remember I visit this place twice with my friend @toufiq777. The last time I visited this place was with my friend Toufiq on 17th January 2021. It was a sudden visit to the sensation of the North Bengal. My friend Toufiq notified me just one day before the visit, that we are going to visit the Rangpur the next day. I was upset for some reason. So I was excited to visit Rangpur for refreshment. As my friend instructed me I got ready the next morning to visit Rangpur. At first, I went to Saidpur from Parbatipur. In the Saidpur Bus Terminal, I met my friend Toufiq.

From there we started our journey to Rangpur by bus. It will cost approximately 250 BDT (2.87 USD) for one person to cover the cost of the travel fair to Rangpur Zoo. Anyway, after we arrived in Rangpur we went to an educational institute where Toufiq studied. We went to the Rangpur zoo around noon. It was winter, we were feeling the coldness of the winter and also enjoying the moments.

We bought the tickets and entered the Rangpur zoo. The price of the ticket was just 10 BDT (0.11 USD). There are a lot of animals (215) in the Rangpur zoo (26 species). After entering the zoo you will notice a few cute animals in front of your eyes, that's the beauty of this zoo, you have not to appear in the deep of the zoo to watch some animals at a first look. It was amazing to watch the gigantic birds like Emu and Ostrich in front of our visions.

I watched a tiger nearly when I was a schoolboy. But this time my vision was more memorable because I watched the tiger roaring itself, maybe he was angry about spending his time in prison. It's also dangerous for him to be in the outside world.

Because this creature is in extinction in our country. So a zoo is an ideal place for the production of this kind of animal which is almost in extinction. We also visit some africanus asinus and horses in the zoo.

There are some street foods shops located in the middle of the zoo. You can taste various kinds of fast foods here. People usually like to eat Fuchka(snacks), spicy puffed rice, nuts and pickles from these street food shops. There are also some fruit shops. Some beautiful landscapes exist in the zoo. Probably it will take more than one hour to visit the zoo. After visiting the zoo we went to visit the children's park. I was surprised when I entered the park, it was a beautiful environment inside the zoo. The giant cave was an amazing installation.

Children's park was a new attachment in the area of Rangpur Zoo. After visiting the park it was time to go. Before signing off the zoo, we saw a large hippopotamus enlarge its mouth. Maybe he was hungry because zoo authorities were feeding them.

After 2 pm we went outside the zoo. From there we walked ahead for a while. We had a little snack in a street food shop. It was another memorable day of our life. We enjoyed the travel to Rangpur zoo. People who live Northern part of Bangladesh and people across the country can visit this place once. My rating of this place is 4.8 out of 5.
