Everyday i perceive an aroma of what the world now smells like, so much bitterness, hearts that have long hardened, unforgiveness , greediness, pride and so on.

People suffering, the children falling sick and dying, the lacks keeps becoming overwhelming.

I look at myself and i am thankful, not because i too do not lack, but because in the midst of all the craziness, in the midst of all this madness and pain, in the midst of the daily bustles and hassles • • • 'kind' people still exist.

These are people who are willing to make a sacrifice, who are willing to discomfort themselves so another soul could smile, sometimes they have enough to give out, other times they do not.

I AM GLAD THAT I TOO COULD EXTEND AN ACT OF KINDNESS TO SOMEONE IN NEED.

Act Of Kindness

Some weeks back i got a messenger pop up on my Facebook App, and i thought to check it out, it was a girl, a girl i know, once my student.

She was the head girl at the school where i did my compulsory one year national service, that was in 2018/ 2019 precisely.

A smart and beautiful girl, sighting the message, she was appealing i borrow her 2,000 naira in Nigerian currency, sadly at the time i was too broke, i couldn't assist but made her a promise to send it by the month ending.

Though i didn't have the resources, i had to push myself because for her to come up with the boldness and confidence to ask such a favour, it means she was really in need and i swore to help in my ability.

As the lights will shine in our favour, i was able to come up with the money in no time and i made a mobile transfer to her as she had already since sent her bank account details, i informed her that night.

She was very happy and thanked me, i felt happy too.

CONCLUSION

Living in such a cruel world where we are today, kindness is all that matters, infact an act of kindness is everything, both to the giver and the receiver, it is a huge blessing, it shows you care.

I remember my own experience, instances where people showed me acts of kindness, it made me break down in gratitude and the memories are still fresh in my head.

Let's try to be kind, i know it is not easy, but sometimes it takes really nothing, WE CAN DO IT !!!
