Sky photography contest || Volcano Osorno by @papi.mati

Presented photo shows the Volcano Osorno, southern part of Chile. I made it from the boat on the lake Puyehue.

Line of the clouds perfectly shows his majesty: it's over 2650 metres high, dominates the landscape reminding to everyone how powerful is the nature. It's interesting not only because of its size, but also because it's one of the most active volcanoes in the world. It erupted 11 times since the XVIth century and can erupt again in any moment, causing a lot of damage in the region.

I admire Chileans that they have learned how to live with the nature, accepted the earthquakes which happenes there basically every week, danger of Tsunami and volcano eruption. I believe there is no other nation which knows better that all humans are like a dust comparing to the power of the elements.

I have chosen this photo because the sky is very important here. Without the cloud line, altitude of the volcano wouldn't be so noticable, without the perfect light blue colour of the sky above, beauty of the lake water wouldn't be so powerful.
